Lighting question

so I am just about finished setting up new grow room. 2 1k lights over a4by 9 grow bed. I have a 400w light not in use currently. My question is should I use it in the room. I have mh and hps bulbs for it. I was thinking of either putting it in the centre between the other lamps or moving it around daily to get light at a different angle on the plants (pain in the ass). Or just don't bother? What's your thoughts on this?

If you can stand the heat use it.
Just a quick thought is the 400 watt mh bare bulb vertical on a mover.
problem is if you use a hood you would want it lower to most effective but don't want to shadow the 1000watt.

Heat is not an issue. The 400w is vertical and I could take the hood off and get it nice and close. No light mover for me. Would it be best to place it and benefit the plants in that area or move it around to get more light to different areas? I used to use the 400 for veg but my new setup is mothers and cuttings in a 2x4 tent under t-5s. Veg and bloom all in the main room.

Use the 400w MH to veg with. 2 1000w hps over 4x9 is more than enough. Just control the heat if they are not vented hoods.

Hey thanks for the replies. The 400w generates too much heat for my little veg tent set up in a closet. The main room the hoods draw air from outside through the hoods and back outside so there isn't a heat issue in there. The 400w will just go to storage for now then. My main room is 10 by 10.

I would say not use it. You're over 50w/sqft already. Especially if the 400's not a digi.
