Please for the love of god send me a link to these large scale water chillers.

I'm interested as I said but can't find anything suitable on the Web

We are on well but we are also on septic.. so no flushing 100 of gallons a day

You might want to review water cooling for more than just chilling, air conditioning and cooling your lights can also be done.

For a chiller on a large scale I would look to your pros to build out an advanced DIY setup. Have your plumber install a solenoid valve on the water supply and run the output to a copper coil in your reservoir, then the output of the coil to your drain/pond. Install a temp probe and controller to operate the solenoid valve. Repeat for as many reservoirs as you are going to run.

For cooling lights or during winter for water chilling/AC you can also use a closed loop system with a large radiator outside.

Your competition, one of many.....and they probably don't use paclo :P
They have 3 rooms like this, 6 heat pumps per room.
I imagine a lot of people are biting off a little more than they can chew.

I think he is referring to these. http://www.hydroinnovations.com/collections/chillers

You use it with a large chilled rez that has hoses pumping the water through a ceiling mounted air handler in the room that functions as an AC with a thermostat etc.

I used this company, I dont know that it has proven to use much less electricity than regular freon AC but it gets the job done.

I spoke with my HVAC contractor and he advised me against the water cooled radiator type set up for a number of different reasons. One of the largest two being cost and effectiveness.

He has installed lots and lots of different systems in lead certified buildings. As he said "if there was a more effecient way to cool down large heat loads then people would be doing it"

Did upgrade to 18 seer unit's though. Installing wiring and air handlers now

You ruled out the radiator, was drain to waste a decent option in your area?

No drain to waste. We are well...but also septic. No septic system that I know could handle as much water as we needed to push through.

At any rate, it's beating a dead horse at this point. The AC is in. It's the right move for a lot of reasons but primarily cost. Yeah I could design this totally birches space age system with ground loops and blah blah blah but the future is uncertain. This may all go away in the next 18 months. So no use dumping shit tons more money into this thing.

We are already out 70 grand and there isn't even a single plant in here yet. So figure another 20k in rent, + power (15?) Before we even see a harvest.

It's one thing to be a keyboard grower or invest in a basement grow but one gets a little nervous when money glows out of your account in 10 and 15k chunks.

Rough in electrical inspection on Monday then insulation

You want to talk about blowing shit up?

Well, I just aquired a new grow space. I could have tittled this thread.. how to make $90k disappear in a month. LOL

Damn it man! That is whopper of a space, I'm suffering some major size envy. I'm building a scrog box because I have so little space since I moved.
Can't wait to see your colossus when it's going, good luck!!
