Not that much is happening at the moment. That is to say that the buds are growing together and thickening up, the tops are starting to stand out... it's going well. I really don't do anything in the tent anymore, I just do my daily and weekly maintenance on the reservoir and keep everything clean. I ice the reservoir to keep it cool, too, so I'm also keeping on top of the heat situation... Then, I unzip the tent and smoke a joint while I sit by and enjoy the lemon fresh goodness.

Here's a photo of one of the colas at 4 weeks of flowing and a [partial] canopy shot, taken a couple of days later, to give you an idea of the spread of those colas.

Thanks for looking :D

Lol ... ah thats some labor youll be doing lol . I usually trim the sugar leaves immediately after clipping the branch. So id clip a few branches, trim them then hang them to dry (now I use a drying rack). I freeze the sugar leaves immediately to run them for bubble hash later. I keep doing this for a few days until all the weed is harvested. When I do this i keep the lower growth for later allowinf it to mature a little more under better lighting while I keep clipping more top branches and trim them.
I let the buds dry til the stems snap. Thats when i clip the buds off the main stem ajd directly into the jars they go. Either now or later after im done, I put the buds on any screen like kitchen colander and shake a little collecting the outter trichomes (which will end up at the bottom of the jars or stuck to the glass or on your fingers) ..... now this is kief ya got, buds are curing in the jars (burp them a couple of times every day for a week til you notice the buds are even in how dry they feel when ya squeeze them a little then youre done. You can be more accurate with the curing process checking rh etc. But you really dont have to be that anal ..... kief .. buds ... bubble hash from the sugar leaves and lower popcorn buds .... also use the lower popcorn buds to practice extracting bho ;-)

Thanks Dr. I've seen people talking about messing up their dry and cure, I'd hate to go through all this only to mess it up at the end. That said I'm probably worrying too much... again. Why a rack over hanging them? I've seen a few people mention they've moved to a rack.

Annnd two more picture because I love cannabis. If nothing else I'm going to have a lot of trim for the hash :D

No reason ... just space ... its compact and has 8 shelves that airout the buds ... convenient and space saver I guess .... its not big enough for my harvest so I end up hangin a lot too hah
And trust me me I say YOU aren't going to mess up the drying and curing ;-)

Ah, okay well that's a consideration. I planned on using the tent as the drying space, too, as I figured I have good control over the environment in there. Those hanging mesh racks I've seen would make better use of the space, or at least easier use of it. I'll have a look on eBay.

Ha ha, well, thanks :)

I've been letting the pH swing from 5.8 to 6.3, trying to find a sweet spot. I think I've found it at 6.1, as they'll drink over 5L (I don't measure anymore, I just 'fill to the line' and add nutes) of water out of a 50L reservoir, and take 90~100PPM of nutrients out of the water with it. Roughly 10% of each, daily, since I've kept it at 6.1.

I think that's a pretty good result... What pH do you keep your reservoir at, during the flowering cycle?

That's good, 5.8 was my veg pH, too, and didn't let it swing much.

Oh, I wanted to post this picture. I was taking a couple of photos just before the lights came on, using the led/flash from my phone. The HPS flickered on as I was taking photos and as a result I took a couple that lit the buds up with both lights sources and captures some cool colors.... OR, perhaps, I'm high.

:)

Thanks fro pictures Barney's does have some great strains and Liberty Haze being one of them believe Cirtial Kush is and good one --Try Vanilla Kush great yields and has that Nepal taste
G'day hawk, thanks for dropping in.

I'm so impressed with how this LH has grown, that I'll get some other varieties of Barney's Farm seeds again... And about 13 other seed companies, each with 10s of seeds I want to try and grow! I need more room... :)

Off the top of your head, is there a really heavy indica that Barney's do?

Day one of week five. I've just swapped out the res water for fresh RO water, set it at pH 6.1, PPM 1100... H2o2 35% at 2ml per liter.

The buds are still growing into each other and doing their thing, though not growing so wide just yet but I think it's all on schedule. I've been posting a lot of bud pictures, so, I think maybe I'll just drop in a couple of canopy shots to document where the plants are at.

Keep on keeping on :)

They're starting to get too heavy and due to my laziness in getting a 5" net/screen earlier, I'm going to have to get some string and tie them up. I knew that some were leaning, but I didn't realize the extent until today. I opening one of the side flaps on the tent that I hadn't opened in a number of weeks, and it seems I didn't notice some of the side colas had grown taller... because...instead, they've been laying over further and remaining the same hight from my usual perspective in to the tent. I imagine it's the same all the way around...

I'll sort it out and take a few photos. I'm so happy they're heavy enough to be tipping over... :D

We had a bit of a rough week.

The power went out a couple of times, fortunately not for very long though one of them took the power out just five minutes after the grow lights had turned on for the day. I thought I has blown a fuse, or that I'd burnt something out, but when I went outside to check the meter box I could see the whole area was down. I panicked a bit, wondering how long it really takes to confuse your plants and have some negative effects... The power came on in just under two hours so I assume the plans will just think of these as cloudy days and not bother them too much

Can anyone answer on that? If the power goes out for your lighting, how long have you really got before you might as well cut your losses and harvest?

Just changed the res and took pictures so I'll get them on soon :)

You did the right thing bro ... the girks will just assume those were cloudy days. A couple of days arent too bad to cause any noticeable problems. Actually, many guys turn the lights off for 48 h before harvest to increase resun oroduction towards the end, and thats 48h of total darkness! A couple hours shaved off of the total light on time is really nothing
Now as far as how long of lights off is too bad that youd need to harvest, Ive never had such a problem. I guess if that was to happen to me, the lack on dissolved oxygen would by my number one fear .... not the lights being off (no photosynthesis for a little vs no oxygen to breath for a little too)
