Letter from Health Canada

I would just like to take a moment and thank HC for sending out letters to people in the current MMAR program. If you haven't received a letter yet you soon will. The letter reiterates the deadline, tells you where to buy in the future, and reminds you to destroy your stockpile.
Isn't it great to see how well HC can communicate when motivated.
I would especially like to thank HC for showing their name, and "Marihuana Medical Access Program" in a clear window on the envelope.
Thank you for considering my privacy and security.
Thank you for letting my mailman, and by now half of my town, know that I am in the program.
I really appreciate it.
If I have a home invasion in the near future, you will know why.

Im so pissed about that too. Small town. I know all the ladys in the post office, bank, grocery store. Everyone knows everyone and now everyone knows Im in this fucktard program

What about privacy issues????
The window on the letter must be 6" by 5" with name and address typed right below
This has to be premeditated by H.C......I too am from a small backward ass town.....and this really sucks.....
Can we sue the Gov over this??????

Hi everyone. My first time posting....hope 'Im doing it right. I could not believe my eyes when I saw that letter yesterday. I am in the same position as most of you...small town, everyone in town will soon know whats happening in my basement now. Home invasions....theft....all much more possible now. How could they let that happen??
So ridiculous. I think our privacy rights have been invaded big time, and if there was any motivation among permit holders to sue, I would be all over that. Unbelievable. Did I already say that?

I am now working nights from home so I can protect my family,from this BS
Looks like a gun purchase (legal) in my near future....I really never thought it would come to this....the people that are supposed to be
looking out for our privacy are blatantly disregarding public policy on your medical privacy I do believe there are some laws and policies not being followed here.
Talk about kicking a sick person ,when there down,and close to out....instead of scaling down the expenses of the MMAR I find myself wanting to install
more and better cams and motion detectors,to protect my wife and kids.....
not to mention I would rather invest my time into healing and feeling better,than being anxious ,nervous and paranoid.....
I guess the biggest question is who is responsible for one of the bigger leaks of the public privacy in Canadian history,,,,,The number could include every one of us....enrolled in the MMAR....
Maybe someone with a law degree could wade in here.....

I can see how important my call to Health Canada is. I wanted to complain about the security issues related to this letter. After remaining on hold for over 25 minutes, I almost gave up, but at minute 26 they answered. I vociferously complained and the fellow listened and suggested HC was aware of the problem. No apology. Nothing coming from the other end. He let me rant and then suggested I write a letter expressing my concern. If you feel like it you can write to them at [email protected] Now that the horse has left the barn, I can't imagine what the solution would be. Still...it might be worth the time if they got 37,000 letters of complaint to file.

I also went to the John Conroy legal site and registered my situation in case it helps support the injunction. I think that is our only hope now. Get the lawyers on it.

This story has hit the newspapers now. Administrative error my ass! One branch of the government reviewing another, we know the outcome of that...squat.
How about naming the employee who chose the envelopes? Anyone going to get fired?...squat
Question is, how does it impact current program participants?
Are people going to increase their security? Move? Shut down?

We should not let this die out and be forgotten......we need a class action suit against them for this breach......of privacy and trust....
if your doctor was going around telling your neighbors,your medical conditions, would you would sue.?...and health Canada has done just that....

Maybe Health Canada will be covering the cost of this mistake? Will they pay for an Increase in security ? or for us to Move? or shut down?
We need to hold them down and squeeze the pimple that HC is.

Would HC not be guilty of an offence under FOIP (freedom of info & privacy) they cant be that stupid ~ sorry ~ of coarse they are. Why doesn’t my bank statement come each month with my account # and balance visible ~ if you guessed because only HC is that stupid you guessed right.

People shouldn’t be afraid of the government ~ the government should be afraid of the people...........

The government of Canada is famous for smiling while their slashing your throat. Ontario is the worst. I got busted with a few grams of hash and i wound up in the Whiyby jail which has been demolished since for three days so they took it upon themselves to inject me with a substance to lower my ammune system claiming it was a matter of national security. As they were walking me to the room for this injection one of them mention,"This is where we use to hang people, but we don't hang people anymore". I was deathly ill for almost ten years. I found I had a court order stating that doctors could not help me. Some of my buddies died the same way, one just last June. Now I know how they got sick. I did find a cure and had to concocked it from chemicals that were mean't for other uses. I got this f*ck government back in court and it turns out that their defence is their belief that I am a crack cocaine, gun running gorilla style pimp, that operates a Charlie mansion style murdurous gang, the biggest heap of sh*t in the world. The Canadian government is truly out there and seriously f*cked up.

I had to go to Toronto to clean out my brother in laws apartment. When I got there I got the landlady to open his apartment and while she was at it I asked her to explain the way Rick was just before he died. It matched the symtoms of what I was afflicted with. I found a current drug trafficking paper in the top shelf of his closet.

I knew this 19 year old drug trafficker in Niagara Fall Ontario. When he got arrested instead of sending him to the local jail they said he had to show up at the Whitby jail for classification. It all seemed so odd and I had this feeling they were going to execute Ryan. I tried to warn him but he said "You're a crazy old man and you'll be in the grave long before me". Ryan never left the Whitby jail alive, dead at 19 years old.

The Government of Canada has arrainged court order abortions for all of my five children. Me and my wife deeked this out and all of our children are well and fine. Our youngest Rose was born a year ago April. My wife was terrified to see a doctor and she done everything to keep her pregnacy a secret. One morning about a week before Rose was born premature, I had this terrible feeling that somehow someone was going to poison our baby by spiking my wife with some sort of substance. I told her their plan was to murder our baby and charge us for neglect causing death. I was right, my wife started separation at seven months with no hope of contractions. When I took her to the hospital there was an order there stating that the doctors could not treat her for any condition. We sat there waiting. The police showed up to arrest us in the event that Rose was born dead. The order did not say anything about the nurses helping out. It wasn't until I said, "No person would want the death of a baby on their consience" to my wife and that's when the nurses sprung into action and my wife recieved the drugs and stuff she needed to save Roses life. The order did not get overturned and they admitted in court that they were aware that my wife was pregnant when the order was placed. One of the assholes brought in a green hat for our little Rose indicating that they believed that Rose would be born dead and we would be arrested and labeled as baby murdurers. I keep all these types of things documented and I have several boxes full of incidances similar to this same sickness displayed by our government.
