Lets Talk Trim

Trimming properly grown nuggets is something I love and also curing gives me a sense of pride or something. I don't love being sticky so I don't have finger hash anymore I use latex gloves and toss them out after they become super sticky. If you go to load a bowl forgetting your sticky gloves on it's kind of funny. I'm trimming now also although I am done for today but 3 huge ladies are about to need their whole top layer removed it is going to be a monster trimming session of 20+% thc ogk nuggets. I am excited just thinking about it.

Don't remember what actual percentage thc ogk is but they are resinous as hell, long trichomes densely populated. Funny thing is 3 days ago I dumped pH 4.7 solution on them by mistake, leaves curled and twisted on me and she still is continuing to finish like a mad dog. I took action immediately but all the same the top buds leaves closest to the light buckled width wise and curled like a pigs tail length wise. High level pH fluctuations.. I am guessing I forgot pH up but I'd say that guess is pretty spot on since I know I was high while mixing. lol

Ahh the smell of diesel fuel... I guess I like it, err, hmmph

Gonna take your time off topic but still ontopic(don't wanna Make a new thread) how far into the bud do you trim-how long will trim last to use it to make dabs(bho it) to get the THC from it? Like say I trimmed my plant three days ago and the trim is dry is it still usable to make some dabs

Cure it like you should your buds!

I had patients come in and trim, so it's not so bad...

I know that lol but won't it dry out alot faster (causing less resin) I planned on throwing it in a mason jar until I got some bho and an extractor
 Dry it out to normal. Put it in your jars (get your hands on some 1 gallon jars - search for them). Put Boveta packs in jars and cure as normal!
"Drying out will not cause less resin"
Boveta packs keep the jarred product at the RH of the pack - so it can cure properly AND be stored long periods, in your case. Cure is 2 months anyway!

Boveta 62 - 65 When I travel, my cigars travel with 72's in travel humidor.

You don't need to cure the trim and you can even make it with wet fresh trim.. If you go to do that make sure it is completely frozen before hand and you will get a slightly lower yield. Otherwise just let it sit out a couple days and it will become bone dry and ready to use

Also don't trim "into" your buds at all.. Your job is to shape and cut off what is hanging out only
Damn man reading my mind. I was gonna ask that question...I watched a buddy of mine literally cut out all the leaves he could and the bud tastes like shit after a few days...like it tasted earthy but when we first hit it when he was first done it tasted like a blueberry and like I wanna say a mangerine

Love it when its all done, and you have shit loads of jars full once dry and curing, then i really enjoy working with the sugar leaf and the bottoms, making hash and bho.

I dry prune how many others dry prune or prune when its wet.

I trim everything big off while it's still potted, then I cut ,hang and dry all the branches. After they have dried thats when I do a little fine trimming for what I missed and done ! My buds are irregularly shaped most of the time because I do not trim off all the goodness. I'm not a fan of rock hard tight trimmed buds but that's just me.

Trimming is pure delight to me. Handling and smelling the fruit of your labor, knowing that in a couple of weeks you're going to finally be rewarded for your expense and efforts.
