Lets force change!

How many signatures do you guys think we would need to force OUR government to make changes?

We all argue about the politics involved somehow forgetting that this is our country and our elected officials.
They should be doing what we want not the other way around.

So maybe we would be better off starting a petition or something instead of sitting back waiting for all the court dates to stop being pushed back.
We should push back ourselves.

So seriously how many people do u think we need to sign and how do we organize this.
Im tired of waiting

You think a petition is going to do anything? We are dealing with a hostile government that does what they want and not the will of it's people. The prohibitions on cannabis have been declared a "dead law" and re-enacted without proper due course and legislation already, a few names on a paper ain't going to change nothing. History has shown us the only way for real change on this issue is to fight for it through the courts sadly.

I wish we had ballot initiatives like they have in the us.

if we got together on change.org for an online position, we could get a few thousand signatures & have an MP present it to Parliament.
we are supposed to be in a democracy after all.............................

Thats kinda what im thinking^^^^

If i have to watch the cold water challenge on facebook grow to the point that people were nominating their god damn pets surely some smart stoner can organize something to make a change.
Dont get me wrong im glad everyone hoped on board and helped those people out but really .....

There has to be something doable

The Liberals already have a petition calling for legalization with over 50,000 signatures, nothing is going to change until the federal election, and that's only if Justin actually keeps his word, or the courts force new legislation to be written. The gooberment has tons of senate inquiries and citizen polls and all sorts of other data that supports marijuana reform and they completely ignore it. One more piece of paper with names on it means nothing to them.

I like to believe that not everyone that is pro mj is the typical tv stoner and could write out a compelling argument.

I dont like putting faith in the feb court decision because i have this funny feeling the judge is going to say the exact same thing joyride jus said.
Might as well wait for the federal election.
Or just postpone it and push it back.
Maybe we could really push the issue so it doesnt matter if justin or anyone else lie because its already settled

I just went and checked it out. Thats exactly what we need to do except federally.
Im glad they are expecting major change in bc but what about the rest of us?
They got 200,000 signatures and it wasnt enough for a change.
But theres a couple other provinces out their i think

Bc will be the way to set a presidence for the rest of canada. Change happens slowly.

Yes and no
The states were kinda half and half.
Its still a class 1 narcotic and illegal federally so as far as im concerned they arent really that far ahead.
Im curious how thats all going to play out down there. Its either going to become 100% legal or the feds will backtrack and call it the best case of entrapment in history and jail a huge chunk of people
In those super prisons
