Legal Question

A friend of mine just got a caretakers card to grow for his/her son. Knows next to nothing about growing; needs serious consultation. Is it legal for me, without a caretakers card, to offer growing advice? What about *hands-on* one on one instruction in the process of growing itself? Would I be "Cultivating Marijuana" when the grow is not mine, but a legal grow?

The law states that ONLY the registered caregiver or the patient is allowed in the grow room.

Having said that, it's pretty freakin unlikely that the state police will come crashing through the door right as you're in there giving your buddy some pointers on how to grow herb. I wouldn't sweat it, but that's just my opinion.

If you give them advise on how to conduct a perfectly legal operation (for them) I don't see how they could say that you were involved in a criminal conspiracy. A criminal conspiracy is when 2 people talk about committing a crime (not illegal in itself) then one of those 2 does something to further that, moving it from the planning stage to the actual committing. In this case, you'd be giving them advise on how to do something that it is perfectly legal for them to do. Now on a FEDERAL level........but even then, without their testimony or you on recording, they'd play hell charging you much less convicting you.

r you afraid that hes gonna tell on you?
Not at all concerned about that. I can/will donate funds for seeds (i have been shopping extensively, so the shopping list would fall under ; ) consultation, as well ). The Grow room has yet to be built, however, and help is needed in ALL aspects, lots of $$ they probly gonna have to do it on the cheap, at best, but at least no worries about the seeds will help. The most important thing is to have good genes in the grow house, eh? Would me providing funds for them to order seeds constitute anything illegal, since I've been shopping well before I heard about them needing help? Probly beeing way too 'noid with that Q, eh?

It's hard to answer questions like that because 'they all' and 'we all' say the law states different things. Michigan is just making this shit up as they go along. The way I look at it is this, I'm trying and all these 'grey areas' are bullshit after a few years of it being a law. Anyone that is in a 'bad area' as a result from a 'gray area' needs to leave it up to 12 other Michigan Citizens and not leave it up to a handful of people that work at the courthouse every day. jury trial, jury trial, jury trial.

Instead of pure michigan ads, we should have bumper stickers that say "If I'm on your jury, you are OK!"
