Well these are $16/ea ($15/ea when ordering 10+) and I'm thinking I could get away with 5 for a small grow. I wish I could find some 440nm ones though, instead I might have to use 400nm :/ and the 400nm LEDs by the same company are only sold in quantities of 10!

How would you guys go about powering these? I found a driver for ~$8 that is 900ma and 6-12v but that would only cover 1 LED...

men it sounds like it's gonna endup costing you a lot of money... what if you toast them? if you say you only want 5x10 W for a small grow, .. you could buy a decent 90W light with all that money.

just wire them series parallel; and if you have a DC power adapter a big one for an amp would work.

there are dc power supplies on ebay and led sites; even a computer power supply would work.

I'm a DIY type of person, if I can build it, I will :) As far as toasting them, that's part of learning how to do it better :D

You know I had forgotten I had a PSU already setup as a benchtop PS, the current and voltage should be more stable than a wall wart I'd imagine.

hey man, that thread is 10y old and he wasnt even using 730nm.
probably better to ask this in the far red thread.

be carefull with far red and test yourself how your strains react.

haha, no problem, looks like your weed is good, that counts.

660nm is not the huge problem, i use it all through flower, many do it like this.
maybe check out the bugbee video and others posted here recently, there where some new videos explaining a lot well, also 660nm.
