I'll soon be making my first foray into the LED realm. I purchased a Photon 180V from Northern Grow Lights and I cannot wait for it's arrival. Perhaps wasted on a lazy and inexperienced noob like myself, but for the price and specifically the lack of DIY, it really drew my attention. I also bought a cheap 2' x 2' tent off Amazon to accompany it along with my 4' x 4' HPS sodium (600w) tent. So excited I cannot describe. I truly think with the coming innovations, dropping of price and imminent proliferation, that LED grow lights are the future of indoor grow operations, both hobbyist and commercial.

That Photon 180 will fill that 2x2 with no trouble. I find the eveness of light distribution great with mine. The superior spectrum COB's build great buds with proper frost. Have fun!

What k light did you get?

Hi,
Anyone know why my LED drivers are using 10w more each then previous days?? Does heat cause the drivers to use more power?

This is under a 200w go green. It got the whole light to itself for the first 5-6 weeks, Now it shares it with a younger sister same strain. PAK

Damn I can't help but comment on the beauty of those buds. I've seen them several times now but each time they are just as striking.

Pardon my ignorance, I can't stand the endless names/mislabels and inevitable acronyming -- just created that word (after a mild grandpa rant, hehe). PAK = Purple Afghani Kush? From the close up shot it nearly has the appearance of a cookies derivative, that's why I ask. Gorgeous either way brother.

Thought I'd share my current grow. The Amare & SunCloak are awesome. Bout to take down my big waste of electricity called the Hydroponics Hut X5-500 uselessness & replace it w/ my other Pro-4. What a huge difference!
image.jpg I really don't think the added white is helping it along enough. The Amare side buds are getting way bigger then the HH again.
Do NOT buy from Hydroponics Hut. False claims & shitty company.
I can & will vouch for Amare & SunCloak all day though. Real happy w/ them both!

Hybrid you can use the stock hooks and run then the long way. Front to back and one in each side. Then just put another bracket or whatever in the ceiling spaced away from that one you have now. That's how I run mine and don't have any problems

You're absolutely right. That I could do. I won't be able to jack it up to use the lenses but I will be able to drop it low w/o, & that will be fine. Good call!
I'm on it!

With all due respect hybrid just looking at the pic the amare side I see at least 8 cobs with lenses and a multitude of monos like 3 feet off the plants. On the HH side i see a small collection of monos in comparison that is the HH. the fact the amare side shows more growth doesn't seem much of a mystery really. Kinda lopsided side by side to say the least.

The Pro-4 just went up 2 days ago. All those Amare plants were under the 450 only.
The HH & 450 now both have 2 plants under them. So it's pretty evened out now. Plus the HH is pulling 60 more watts w/ another 57 w added not counting the SunCloak. So the HH wasn't keeping up running 117 watts more w/ 2 plants & the 450 had 3. How's that for lop-sided. And the HH consists of 9 cobs w/ surrounding 5 waters. Don't need to do a comparison. Past that point. You saw what happened. This was an experiment to see if added white would've made a big enough difference to justify using the HH in flower. It did not.
Plus my Pro-4's just came in last week. So I'll be taking down the HH Now.
You should stop by the thread.

Agree with you, white light is less help than red and blue. I have used 108w Lightimetunnel LED light bar for side light which especially good for flowering stages. Relly good to promote growth and I had a harvest with my plants. This light also save electricity.

No, I disagree. I believe/know white light will out perform R+B based lights any day of the week on any strain of MJ.
Now, add them both together @ exactly the right combination & blend like Amare did, & you've got yourself a killer grow light.
Full spectrum enhanced white is the way to grow!

HH off to the veg room where it belongs. Pro-4 rocking these 2 plants now. Very happy w/ this light. Covers perfectly, w/ room to go w/o lenses on this one. image.jpg

Plenty of good detailed videos on Youtube. I had one play in the background while working on the garden last night, let me grab you the link.

That's Greengenes Garden, a member here, and Growmau5 also has some nice videos on the subject, good luck.
