LED Pontoons For Supplementing DE HPS

With the popularity of blending technologies, what are some thoughts on building LED "pontoons" to supplement 1000W DE HPS Systems?
Maybe some 660nm and 5000k's?
Or a row of LED and a T5 UV in a combo fixture?

how much supplement are you looking for? My understanding was the dehps would rock a 5x5 area do you think it doesn't?

It is my understanding that is does as well. But then there is always the idea of improving quality and resin production. Like using a metal halide as a finisher.
It seems like it would be a real powerhouse to keep the DE as the work horse all the way through and add some led to fill in. I believe even hps is weak in 660nm.
And of course you could incorporate the 730nm phytochrome trigger

If I were to experiment I would try some 4000 or 5000k cobs, similar to supplementing with metal halide and some uvb bulbs.

imo hps has plenty of deep red, could be wrong tho.

I'd supplement with a bunch of monos incorporating UVA and royal blue (luxeon Royal Blues are very very efficient.), The other ootion is to replace 30% to 50% hps with a full spectrum flower cob+mono light. overlap between lights should give even coverage.
