coulnt care less about that. my only point is

you: Can you show us a grow on here that is doing what your trying to tell the op? Show us the grow thats doing 2 pounds with 600 watts.

me: posts several examples

you: Seriously show us some grows on here. Your so full of BS dude.

me: ??

------------------------

HPS is fine
LED is fine

you talk a lot of trash, all the time, with nothing to back it up.
He may not be able too but here's 2 units done under 600 watts of HPS.

I have no problems with LED's, both will grow plants just fine. But if we all would be more realistic and not try to make outrages claim. I don't think we would have the arguments over the better lighting.

Misunderstanding.
You were asking mongo to show, Jarvild said " not sure if he can" and showed his to prove the point that 2lb was possible under 600w HPS. He wasn't saying you cant, neither was he saying mongo can't, he was just offering his grow as an example of one that can and has.

Sorry for sticking my nose in. I just don't like to see folk misunderstanding each other.

Sorry, I wasn't saying you were bogus. In fact, I find you to be more realistic with your comparisons of wattage conversions.

no custom work right now- we have a family member who is terminal and ill be out of town for a bit soon.

all the parts to assemble those yourself are in stock- its not hard you could assemble 12 in 2-3 hours even on your first time

Can't like this. Sorry to hear, it's a good thing to have the chance to say what's important.

I concurr, I received the parts for my 18 cxm-22 "engines" from cobkits and it took me less than an hour to assemble all 18

I'm getting cxm22

you recommend 80cri or 90cri ?

3000k or 3500k?
I can't comment in regards to temperatures yet as I'm brand spanking new to COBS and whatnot, but general consensus seems to say that 90cri, while requiring more wattage to produce the same output, is far truer to the suns spectrum and results in much larger yields

I'm ordering:
16 x CXM22
16 x 133mm passive pin fin heatsink
16 x ideal holder

How many WAGO 221 series pluggable terminal blocks do I need? And which number of slots; 2, 3, or 5?
Also, what else do I need to make complete my light?
What do I make the frame out of?

I'm running 2 5 port wagos per driver, since I have 3 cobs in parrallell on each driver
Growmau5 has a video on how to complete your light with red supplements.
You will also need meanwell drivers,
Cobkits sold me one hlg-185h-48a driver per 3 cobs, so a total of 6 drivers for the 18 cxm-22s, you'll need drivers.
For a frame I just grabbed some metal.shelving parts that I cut into 4' sections but I like the new "csnopy substrate" system now being sold by rapidled, and will be purchasing 2 4x4 rail systems from them soon

is

dictated by # of drivers (aka cobs per driver)

a 5-slot lets you run up to 4 cobs per driver
5-slot is popular even if you have an extra slot hanging out

So which drivers do I need to power 16 cobs? and how many WAGO's.

Also, do I need to buy wires or do the items come with it?

You can run 4 cxm-22 in parallel on each hlg-185h-48a driver with 2 5 terminal wagos / per driver

So:
8 x 5 port wagos
4 x hlg-185h-48a meanwell drivers

I salvaged a power jack from an old computer power supply for each of my drivers that also had a 15 amp switch for power and a ground connection to ground the entire setup.

Beware the setup I am posting pics of is extremely rudimentary, I had some scrap metal around and wanted to just slap something together quick for testing. While the rig looks dangerous, it's actually 100% safe
