LED - individual manufacturer posts

Hello fellow peace loving toker's,

LED is becoming increasingly popular for good reasons & because of the price tag its the one item people really need to better understand & compare. For this reason I suggest you have posts for individual manufacturers in the LED section. Posts for apollo, hydro hut, vipar, a51, grow northern, northern lights, blackdog etc etc will be helpful for anyone considering these lights I think. Im in the market & I would certainly read these posts if they existed...one section with all the known manufacturer's will be useful in my humble opinion - make it so ;)

wel the best thing about threads is reading other peoples opinions on specific leds they use http://rollitup.org/f/led-and-other-lighting.124/ so we have an LED thread itself, youll have to dig around a bit but those all mentioned are all there from users perspectives
But we dont have posts from the actual companies because that is considered advertisement which you have to pay for on riu

I agree there is info in the threads...but I think if there were posts devoted to one brand it would be easier in the long term & I don't mean ads, just people expressing their views. But I suppose there's no need to get all 'managerial' about it since user's themselves can create their own little individual posts :) have fun & keep moderating, hope you get to puff puff when you're kicking ass on these forums ;)

Well you can get a good tent for around 100 bucks on eBay. giving you about 800 to play with your lights.

how many plants do you want in a space like thT? 2 maybe 3 big ones? or what :)

Hey Patch, actually its $900 for the lights only. In a 100x100cm space up to 4 plants, so whats the verdict buddy?

Z, see my thread completed first grow using BML SPYDR 600

IMHO, it's worth the extra $100

You can select your own spectrums

I can help if you go that route

Thanks Pet, just checked the spydr & wow looks very nice. Might be too much for my little setup though (1sq m) but will certainly reflect on it cause it looks well made & will last the distance...their website says the grow max model is heavily biased towards red but I assume its still good for veg? I like the idea of being able to add or replace the bars, not that im looking to experiment with spectrums, I just want something that will perform well in the grow tent ;) might be too fancy for my little space though
