LED Help: Should I be using both veg and bloom switch?

I have a Full Spectrum 1200w LED light in a 4x4 tent, growing autoflowers. The light has a veg switch and bloom switch. My girls are little over 1 week old. The information on the LED instructions seems to contradict the things I'm reading online. So, I'm asking the experts (ya'll).
The instructions from the LED manual says:
VEG: VEG switch is for the plants in germination or beginning to leaf stage; blue and white LEDS
BLOOM: BLOOM switch is for plant in flowering and fruiting stage and contains red and white LEDS
VEG + BLOOM: We recommend that both switches be turned on in flowering and fruiting state for the plant.

I am growing autoflowers:
Should I be using the VEG and BLOOM switch now or wait a few weeks? Or does it matter with autos?
Since I'm growing autos, once they start showing signs of going into bloom, should I use just the bloom switch or both VEG and BLOOM together? (The directions sound like they should be on together, but then what is the point of having a separate Bloom switch?)

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely BOTH. You didn't say what light you're using but I'd guess it's probably closer to 300w of actual power. That is going to be a bit waek to cover a 4x4 so get your plants clustered as close as tolerable to get enough light intensity.

This is easier to answer if we know what light you are using... I am not super experienced at growing but I also research more than most... I'd say you probably don't need to run both in veg... If it's really drawing 1200 watts.. plants in veg don't need the light that a plant in flower needs.

Id it comes with red and blue lights(burple XD) it's not 1200 but more like 3-400 actual watts. Both on is fine as long as she raises it. Its better to have both since the reds now can help with stretching so better to have both and adjust rather than just blue light on their head.

Probably going to have to agree with this....

I start seedlings off with a little light and then increase it. I would follow the manual instructions. Definitely both on when she's well into flower.
