LED Grow w 2 42w CFL need help

This is my first grow I ordered a 16w LED panel with blue/red mix. I am using Flora Nova Nuttes and soil instead of hydro. Its indoors in a closet and I have little room for excess heat so I decided to go with a LED panel for the lower heat.

I intend on setting up with the LED 12" x 12" panel 1" from the top of the plant with the 2 42w CFL at the top shining down on the plant.

My first grow using Nirvana Bubblicious as my strain.

Generally looking for any advice on the CFL placement and if the idea is solid to use CFL in addition to the LED panel.

Peace and 420.

I just started using the Flora Nova. It is really concentrated. I am using 1/4 strength and even that seems a little strong. I have some yellowing at the tips in flowering stage. Be careful and do not go by what it says on the bottle. I am also soil growing. I am not a fan of the led & cfl and do not use them. I can't help with your light question.

Mostly what im wondering is I have seen videos of PURE LED grows vs HPS and the results were clearly good in veg but less in flowers and produced less bud then the HPS however more bud per KWH meaning the more LED the more efficient.

I am using far less then required to produce good yield with just LED so my question is by supplementing with 2 42w CFL for the 1 plant I plan to grow will it be enough light to meet/exceed 1- 2 plants needs.

Correction:

Video was of HID vs LED UFO

HID produced 91g at .217g/Kwh
LED produced 36g at .36g/Kwh

So i understand the LED is more efficient but more is needed so what are the requirements for one plant using pure CFL?

what is needed is great lights. I am germing under a 45 watt led. Then to 90 watt for the first 2 to three weeks of veg after germ. I just bought the huge panel(300 watts) and they will go under that after the 90. This is my 3rd led grow and my results were awesome. There is no fan club for these lights yet....maybe i should start one? :)

In that video the LED grew half the smoke in a longer flowering period. I was actually suprised to see that the LED could support a plant of that size at all though, thanks for the link.

I think he should have compared the LED to flouro's or CFL's.

Anyway to the op, absolutely use the cfl's to supplement the led, and just work out how to arrange it so the cfl's aren't blocking the light from the LED and vice versa. CFL's should be within an inch or two after the plants have rooted well and are growing.
