Remind me to tell you about the time Yo Mama was liking me :). LOL Alright now, be cool, and cool down with, "by far the most efficient fully passive LED cooler ever developed." :o. Passive cooling for your CLU550 kiddies. I'll take 2.

"Besides development of extreme high power COB modules, also the rise of flip chip and CSP (Chip Scale Package) LED emitters enable this markets. With the much lower thermal resistance of CSP emitters and the major reduction in size, this technology is extremely suitable for building compact high power engines. This again emphasizes the needs of advanced thermal management like MechaTronix is focusing on."

Passive is always a bit more expensive for higher wattage.

The CLU550 at max power is a 595 watt COB.
And at normal power it's already 250 watt.
So expensive cooling is to be expected.

Though I doubt it can take a full power CLU550, 600 watt is a bit too much for that.

Google is not your friend unless you want to find the worst places to order. Only Mouser, Digikey and Arrow on the first page, only $68 at Arrow!

They are $40 at cobkits.com with "RIU" coupon. $36 at northerngrowlights.com if you don't mind the 72V version. And probably $36 from Jerry at Kingbrite on Alibaba.

I'm sure they are all somewhere in Google, eventually. Lot of hits from RIU, thcfarmer, and icmag. CXB3590 is weed famous.
And $35.23 from cutter.au for either 36v or 72v @GroDank101

Is shipping really $25 though? Not knocking, just seems high even for international shipping.
I was quoted $30 a while ago, I haven't ordered though, I just keep threatening to. Now thats to the UK mind you, by DHL and I have no idea if its AU$ or US$ which would make a big difference. I have ordered various things none grow related from Alibaba and from other non EU countries and shipping by DHL or FEDEX always seems to have a minimum, guess there is a point where the shipping is less value and a point where its maximum value within the same min weight charge.

I hate these "diy cob kits".
It's obviously trying to get some easy money.

200 dollar for a single vero 29 and a cheap power supply.
My ass.

Edit: Hate, not had

this thing can work good ?
ihe say it has clu-048-1818
and it will have 200W.

the price for this unit is 160$

what do you think ?
4, CLU-048s, +- 50 watt each.
Completely preassembled with driver and heatsink.

For 160 dollars?

I can hardly believe a deal that good.
Tremendous deal if that's for real.

If you buy it, please keep us updated.
I'm inclined to buy one too.
