LED Companies w/ LINKS

They use bridgelux and epistar btw. But find the diode model if you can please. I believe I've seen a post where supraspl states that their efficiency in near that of hid. So....that answers most everything.

Anyway make sure you save your boxes and you only have 90 days from your ORDER date so yeah that tells you everything. They cut corners where they can. That extra 5-10 days shipping makes a difference. notice it says return for a refund and not full refund.

They will inspect it!!

20% restocking fee!?!? You got $3k in lights. You're paying them $600 if you don't like it.

Also notice their replacement policy can be very subjective and is gonna cost you. Most people will give up tbh. They're a business.

the good companies give FULL warranties out to about 2 full grow cycles worth of time. Becaus they know you will be happy.

But still good luck.

I'll try to find the diode model. 90 days from order date for money back minus the 20% (which....if I'm buying four lights would almost be the price of one). All of that is okay with me though because like I said, I know I won't be returning them unless I recieved one broken in one form or another and out of all the orders I've seen places and mine, none have ever had any problems.

I've seen what these beasts can do. 20x20 tents with nothing but these and the lights raised to the ceilings with every plant turning to a nearly 7 ft tall bushy tree with massive, massive, bud structure and trichrome content. The yield that I've seen over and over again with my own eyes from very good trusted friends is really all I needed. All of this other info and seeing lots of other successful grows is just extra.

For instance, 4 p600's should be equivelant to 3200w HPS. If that's true, the LED grower with these lights should aim for 3200g with the correct number of plants and one of these three friends has this setup and yielded 3490g. Witnessing numbers like that and knowing the potential for that is there is more than enough for me for their price.

5% is the standard on reasonable more is used to deter returns.
gogreenleds has a real return policy. If you're not happy you return it and get a full refund. I forget the time line but it's like two grows.

20% does not justify adding it back in to inventory by typing it in a computer from the number 800 to 801 and then walking it to the shelves. $200 for retuning a 1000$ led that has similar Effiency as HID.

They're trying to deter people from returning it.

Also after 90days you're not getting shit unless it's broken and they accept that it failed because of them not something you did. Very subjective. That's not a 5 year warranty. That's less than 90 and then hopefully when it fails after a year they will hopefully fix it.
I'm not worried about it because unless diodes or internals get damaged during transit I know I'll be keeping them, despite whatever return policy they have. Their customer service was really down to earth and understanding. If you had a problem they don't seem difficult to work with at all and I've never heard anyone say they were. Exact opposite.

With all that said, why would you need shit after 90 days unless something was broken or not functioning correctly? If I dropped it or broke it or whatever I wouldn't expect my money back. That's my fault and nothing that they can control. People have been running early models of these for longer than a year by far with no problems at all. When I hear "5 year warranty" my immediate thoughts are "okay well then they'll replace it within five years if the light or a single component fails." I had one friend with a fan that failed. They gave him the option of sending it back in for them to install or giving him the instructions and sending him the fan. They guaranteed the warranty till its end, even though he opened the unit to install the fan.

Also, I experimented a little when I was calling to talk to the owner. I knew if I bought that I would need 4 p600's at max for a 4x8. Well, I asked him if I could throw in a p450 or a p600 extra to help maximize the potential of the footprint. I asked him to be honest with me if it was too much, but to let me know if I could use it and it would be helpful. His immediate response was "ALL you ever will need in a 4x8 from us is four p600's MAX!"

Why wouldn't he recommend more lighting if he was shooting to sell product only and was that picky over returns and didn't care about customer service, customer success, keeping customers coming back happy, etc? He could have told me I needed to spend another $650 or so easily. Especially when I mentioned to him that after a while I'm probably going to do another tent with an identical setup for veg, one for flower, and the p450 for clone closet. He could have gotten another $1250 out of me but did the right thing and was honest instead. That means a lot to me.

If you haven't purchased them then have a look at GOGREENLEDS or pacific light works. Hell you could ask supraspl or captainmorgan to build you something.

On this forum people all know and see that watt for watt and dollar for dollar Cree cobs will outperform everything out there. So most of your replays are because people see these low Effiency LEDs being bought still when so much work by members on this forum have been put in to finding what's really the truth.

If you want with say GOGREENLEDS and spent the same money you'd get a shit load more light, par, luxury, lumens, whatever and about 20-30 percent more Effiency and you'd out produce your buddies.
Also if something happened you could legitimately return it with out costing $600 like platinum LEDs return policy.

Say you have a first grow and had micro issues bu not bad. But got a shit yield. It would be nice to have another grow to confirm what the problems were before you had to choose on keeping the light. With platinum return policy once you pay you owe them 20% before you even turn it on. That's bad and that should tell you something right there

Should there be a restocking fee, @BM9AGS, and if so, what would be reasonable?
a return based on customer whim cause its not as pretty as the next unit ... charge any amount that you want for restocking.

BUT a return based on a broken unit (in any shape or form including not meeting minimum published specs and also including bad craftmanship)...

NO restocking, full replacement or full refund.

If it doesnt give you good results that's why I'd return it. Results are not a whim!

They're offering a limited warranty for 5 years. And a 20% 90day cost to you trial period.

Agreed, and having spoken with the owner I honestly believe if the problem was all on their end that they would cover shipping on a new one and not charge you anything (despite the restocking fee info). You'd have to do a little business with them to understand.

The results are evident by viewing other grows. I've never known anyone to purchase any size model and want to return it and I've known a few people who, all together have purchased them all except for the p900. All have been very happy and two had almost given up on LED's after trying four units for one of them and six for the other. They were all from different manufacturers. They said of course some had their perks but that they could just both tell huge differences all around with these so I gotta go with with what I see in person and know first hand.

If this was my first experience with them or I was just learning about them I would agree. I don't owe them 20÷ because I have faith in the product and never plan on returning it. Say I had to return one light 4 years down the road. 20÷ of $630 or so....for as much as they'll have done for me at that point I'd have no problem whatsoever paying the 20÷ fee on that unit.

I have the confidence and passion I have with these simply because I've seen it work for years and with giant yields and really happy luscious plants repetitvely. Their conversion claim to what their LED is equal to in HPS is on point, because I've watched a buddy of mine achieve over 3200g of incredible quality twice that I know of with four of their 600's running.

Just too much solid evidence shoved in my face that they're very efficient for the price and produce time after time and the plants love them. That's enough for me to take the leap.

And when the time comes do you think the admins would be cool with me starting an LED grow thread in the LED forums? I'd probably update it weekly or biweekly if a lot was going on and it would be cool. However, the journal will have daily entries.

Indoor growing > led section. That's where it should be.
My understanding is if you put it in the grow journal section it's so you don't get questions and comments. Anywhere else you're gonna have all the interesting comments you could dream of.

I'm here to soak up knowledge from those with more experience. A lot of experience. All the others can comment but if not useful, it'll be ignored. I'm here because I know a lot of people here have more time invested in this than I've been alive. I'm here for all the knowledge and advice I can soak up from the experienced. The reason I'd rather do it that way than a journal is so that if I run into problems I can come to that thread and ask for advice or opinions.

So, you've had too much solid evidence shoved in your face that they work, right? The funny thing is, I helped found this LED sub-forum around 5 years ago, and have been active in it ever since. In that time, I've seen fights between members, fights between company owners, and fights with mods. I've seen entire grow rooms cleared, cleaned, restored, and rebuilt. I've watched noobs turn into real gardeners that know how to read their plants and give them what they need. I've seen megalomaniacs post their Paypal account balance to make their penis feel bigger. Do you know what I've never seen during my time here? A successful Platinum LED grow. Many have tried and all have failed.
Any chance you could share some of this "solid evidence" with us?
