"The cost of white LED lighting may be set to fall as scientists in the US have created an LED coating made from a relatively cheap luminescent metal–organic framework (MOF). The film may supplant current white LED coatings, which consist of far more expensive rare earth elements."

"Li’s team is developing hybrid phosphor-based technologies that are much more sustainable, efficient and low-cost. They combine common, earth-abundant metals with organic luminescent molecules to produce phosphors that emit a controllable white light from LEDs. By varying the metal and organic components, the researchers can systematically tune the color of the phosphors to regions of the visible light spectrum that are most acceptable to the human eye, Hu and Li note. The team is continuing to experiment and develop other rare-earth-free LED phosphors based on different metals and organic compounds."

Splurt!

Ya know, you guys blow :cuss:. Spectrum King has released a propagation light and nobody posted anything about it. Man all you guys are completely biased toward SK .

Comes in 12 or 38 watt versions and uses the bestessez LEDs and will blow your T8s out of yo daddy's grow tent.

Anyhow I complained to the robots at SK about how mean you all are and they've given me a discount code!!!! Just type this into your browser and you won't have to pay to have some dirty hippy lie to you.

Never knew Lite Brite Bright Light LED is the parent company of Spectrum King. Now when I'm ready to buy 4 of their Sam's Club grow lights I can just cut out the middleman which is cool cause that middleman and his division is as full of shit as any LED salesperson as far as I'm concerned.

Never heard of these before Agricultural Lighting Technologies,

http://www.alt683.com/product/radiant-2000/

Radiant 500, 24 VDC Constant Current LED Driver, 100 – 120 watts, IP 65 - $499.00
Not much details other than this.
Possible Meanwell HLG-120-24 5Amps on its back, passive cooled.

Damn. $499 120watts and no coolero_O. I would guess there would be some excessive heat from 9 those hangin in 5 x 5. $4500 cover that? No thank you.
I know they must been thinking commercial aps when designing IP65 but 4500 . That's alittle much.

Helio coming out with a new fixture, claiming 1000w swap, pricing is gonna be interesting

http://store.heliospectra.com/collections/bestselling/products/e60

Yeap ...
"Replacing 1000 W " ,is a very "sensitive " phrase ....

As Cannabis market expands ,so some serious issues pop-up .....

And some pretty serious companies ,take things pretty serious ,too ...

Looks like a stripped down lx fixture, no "cool options"........I'm guessing it's gonna be priced competitively to really take over the commercial sector, $1500-2000?? For 630+w of Phillips lumileds

Could easily be wrong
630 W ...."Replacing 1000 W"
Price : Comin' fra planet Scandinavia .....
Velkommen til Sverige.Ha du de bra ?

Maybe even less are needed ....4 da job done ,at least ...

From those clever souls at BlackDog who ingeniously combined a MMJ LED grow light with a space heater comes even more multi function madness as they up their game tenfold with their new PhytoMAX :o line! In addition to it's previously mentioned capabilities it looks like the've added an electric airboat to it's awesome bag-o-tricks. Holy shit that Tesla guy must be moonlighting for BlackDog! See ya in September gurls!

The PhytoMAX series of grow lights from Black Dog LED builds on our more than 5 years' experience with LED grow lights, and is a top-to-bottom redesign incorporating numerous technological and engineering advancements. A team of engineers and plant scientists spent months of design, testing, and refinement to create PhytoMAX -- once again Black Dog LED has set the highest standard in grow light technology with PhytoMAX:

  • All High-Output 5-watt LEDs
    • High light intensity crucial for canopy penetration
    • High intensity without leaf burn or hot spots
    • The largest LED footprints, proven by independent spectroradiometer testing
  • New and Improved Cooling System
    • Ultra quiet, long-life fans
    • The best active heat management in the industry, crucial to maximizing LED life and spectrum stability
  • Phyto-Genesis Spectrum™
    • The most efficient spectrum for growing plants based on over 5 years of research and testing, outperforming HPS, MH, CMH, Induction and Fluorescent in equal wattage tests
    • One Ideal Spectrum for both Veg and Flowering stages- does not stall plant growth like switching from MH to HPS does
  • UV LEDs
    • Our UV LEDs are laboratory proven to produce higher potency/active compounds (THC, CBD, terpenes, antioxidants/vitamins and flavonoids)
  • Fully Redesigned Housing
    • Water-shedding
    • Can be mounted flush to the ceiling
  • Optimal LED Density
    • For improved plant canopy penetration
  • Larger Footprint
    • Research-proven, large evenly covered footprint (no hot spots)
  • True 800 Watts!
    • The PhytoMAX 800 is the highest-power proven LED grow light on the market
  • Fast, Proven ROI
    • With a 6-12 month average return on investment, PhytoMAX is the best value per watt of any commercial LED grow light

I can actually make so many jokes about this light I can't get one out before the next one comes :). But really, WTF are the black spots next to the LEDs? Bigger Schottky's for even more waste? Or is it just a black spot to cover up the inevitable brown burn marks?

I'm buying 10!

Still not saying what monos they usin?
They claim to be best commercial fixtures available?
I am trying to figure out what ratings they have?
They look to be same fan/blade as my K5. Coming from same factory?
425watts in a 15.75 x 15.75 case? ouch!

^^^Funny but I would take a t-shirt too :). Still I wouldn't mind seeing a grow with one. Probably is the same old same old but they're still kicking around. I bet @mc130p could grow a good crop with one. He always made them look good.
