Tick, tick, tick. Like the audio tape based studios of yesterday that Neil Y and Dave G won't let die. And gee-will-uckers, they're using CREE diodes. Wonder why? Guess they must be part of the cartel. Shhhhhhhh...........

But for the first time ever, the big game will be illuminated by high performance LED stadium lights from Ephesus Lighting, Inc., the leader in providing LED lighting solutions for sports facilities.

only 100 poor watts of 4xCREE CXA3070 in 70 days for one plant...in a closet with no ventilation or other sophisticated systems...the only fan is in the lamp...
TAmb 25°C fix with lamp on...no junk part.
total dried: 134gr.......
no need of tons of watts for big result....the quality of light and spectrum and lm/watt makes the difference and on this issue there is no doubt...
I could post the entire report ... but I think it is enough to understand the concept...

Advanced LED is releasing a larger version in their XML line the XML650. Supposed to run around 620w and cost about $1600. Today is the last day to get its presale price of $1295. These are solid lights, I used the XML150 when it was first released.

HelioSpectra Lands a MONSTER contract! What happened LGLEDSolutions, Illumitex/BML, BlackDawg??????

http://www.heliospectra.com/blog/heliospectra-receives-major-order-valued-over-one-million-sek

Heliospectra AB, a world leader in intelligent lighting technology for plant research and greenhouse cultivation, has received an order worth about one million SEK for the LX60 system. The order includes 100 units and is from the same customer that last summer ordered 20 units. The new order is Heliospectra’s largest so far.

In July 2014 Heliospectra announced that it had received an initial order in the US of 20 units corresponding to 200 000 SEK. Now Heliospectra has signed a larger follow-on order from the same customer.
- It is gratifying that we can now see that the customer goes ahead and buys another 100 units which corresponds to a value of over one million SEK. Our assessment is that the 120 units that the customer has now purchased is part of their extensive new build-out. We anticipate further orders from them, said Staffan Hillberg, CEO of Heliospectra.

The client is based in Seattle and has received a number of licenses to cultivate medicinal plants. It is a booming market in North America where 23 states are already approved and additional states are underway. According to Arcview Market Research this market is expected to grow, from 2.34 billion dollars in 2014 to 10.2 billion in 2017.
- This is an important installation where the client will act as reference to other potential customers. This particular customer has managed to reduce their flowering cycle by 1-2 weeks by taking advantage of the LX60 system which allows for changing of the spectrum during the growth cycle. This is a major improvement for growers, said Staffan Hillberg.

Heliospectra has several other potential customers in Colorado, Washington and other states, who have products for testing, ranging from one to twenty units. Each growing cycle takes one to three months and growers often want to see several cycles during their evaluation.
- Overall, the future looks bright. Our existing customers are very positive and we have good dialogues with new potential customers inside and outside of the US market and are therefore actively recruiting more sales staff, said Staffan Hillberg.

Good to hear that it works very favorably on our medical plant, that type of investment says allot === now we wait and see if the longevity claims hold up(ROI) in those ambient temps.............Big players are using upwards of 2500+ lights, not growing in their bedroom thinking that their "monster" plants:eyesmoke:..........anyways , mucho $$$$ to be made in swaps. I thought the LX series was a FIXED spec???

$$$$ more than I'd pay. That will buy a lot of COB's.:joint:
No pre-built cob panels have ul/etl approval that I know of ATM, big commercial ops won't touch them...................that may change though

Hydro Grow, a leading grow light manufacturer, has announced the launch of a new line of grow lights called Alpha, the first line to ever be produced in the U.S. and require no tools for servicing

Sunrise, FL (PRWEB) January 23, 2015

LED grow lights manufacturer Hydro Grow announced the launch of a new series of grow lights that are the first to ever be produced in the United States. A key feature of the new Hydro Grow LED light line, called the Alpha Series, is that they require no tools for servicing.

“Alpha is the combination of all our technologies over the past 6 years into a singular product,” said Cammie McKenzie, CEO of Hydro Grow. “We have pulled every idea off the shelf and are sparing no expense to produce the most technologically advanced grow light in the world."

According to the Hydro Grow website, the new Alpha series is the epitome of grow lights, designed over a period of six years from the labs of Hydro Grow. The result is a product so technologically advanced it's in a category all its own.

The company spokesperson said that the new Alpha series will be released on Kickstarter in February 2015 and is scheduled for release in June 2015.

The Alpha series features three new intelligent (i) electrical interface systems. Called iPower, iFan and iControl, the new systems allow for the replacement and upgrade of all electrical components in less than 30 seconds, with no tools or skills required by the end user.

“In short, it's the easiest servicing grow light in existence, and the cheapest to own over the course of one or more decades,” said McKenzie. “Alpha gives you the power to purchase one light for the next 30-50 years, with simple and cost-effective parts that save thousands over purchasing replacement fixtures.”

Hydro Grow’s top priority is to bring customers the best performing plant grow light on the market. To help share their success, they have gathered photos and independent videos from around the web to prove that their lights perform at least two to three times better than HID or any other leading LED grow light brand.

The following is just my little opinions about the companies and info mentioned previously and has nothing personal to do with the posters who I thank appreciatively for their posts. Sniff, sniff.....Hey is that blood in the water?

quantumfluxsystems can use some pictures there on their site. It's not that I don't like to read, I actually have a book in my closet somewhere, but fuck I gotta see a "cloud-mounted" panel. Can you get it to water your plants? Fuckin' AWESOME!!!!! Pro Tip Alert Noobs, if the grow light company you want to buy from actually hires a politician for their company, they don't really have horticulture on their mind. Wrong shade of green ya see.

Cammie . I'm wondering now, is the point of marketing school to teach people how not to barf on themselves or commit suicide after writing shit like that? "Requires no tools to fix"? What about the dumb fuck who gave Cammie their hard-earned cash and has to fix their own panel? Intelligent interface? Like dimmers and on/off switches? WHOA! One light for the next 30 or 50 years? 'SPARING NO EXPENSE!!!!! :spew:

Seriously did Gawd know I was sad today and needed a good laugh? And no Cammie ya can't sue me, everything I said is the property of RIU once I hit that Post button. Talk to Rollie.
