Opting for ona pro and plugins and ozium for odor control . As long as I can keep the smell in the room I'll be alright

Why is an "ona bucket" an option but carbon isnt? You realize an air scrubber is pretty much exactly an "ona bucket" but with carbon? Its many times more effective and you dont have to worry about it fucking with the the taste of your plants.

Ona is a gel that absorbs smell. The problem is its chemical based so if you have it in your room it will mess with the taste of your bud, and carbon is just as effective. This ona bucket ppl talk about is just taking a bucket of ona and attaching a fan to it like its an air scrubber, but for some odd reason they use this ona instead of just using carbon and having it be an actual air scrubber.

I'm sorry but I didn't realize that carbon was just as effective used outside of a closed loop system and just throw in the grow space.

If this is the case that's the best option because I would have a investment made and a filter for when I get my tent .

How effective is a stand alone carbon filter ? Used without ducting and air tight walls

Less due to lack of air pull through the filter.

Its very effective, just requires a bigger fan. With ducting ect that is called negative air. When it stands alone thats called an air scrubber.

I used a DIY home depot bucket with activated carbon filter as a liner and activated charcoal inside the bucket with a 6" fan....no smell in the room at all. My walk-in closet is 6X2. The bucket have multiple 2" holes around it and the air is sucked through it through the activated carbon filter. The air particles inside the bucket is further absorbed by the activated charcoal and the scrubbed air is sucked out by the fan. I'm pretty happy with it. The only time, I can smell MJ is when I'm messing with my plants where the buds would somehow get disturbed by the neighboring buds.

Yvw, yeah those plugins work great too. My wife loves candles too, she would light up a candle from time to time and our room would be smelling like apples or field of flowers. What MJ? (:

Made this one from an old filter of some kind I found at the dump. It was like a fully enclosed pencil tin. But big enough to get a clenched fist into. The white material is what will keep all but the smallest carbon particles in place. I've yet to cut the domed bit to fit either a fan or vent duct. But it's about 15cm wide. I just gotta fill it with activated carbon.

Awesome set up and DIY build bro. Thanks for the advice everyone. My plants are very happy with there transplant and they just started to take on vicious vegetative growth. Smell will soon be a thing we'll see how it pans out. I'll have to go to my local hydro store and Home Depot and get some stuff for a build within the next 2 weeks
