Leaves turning silvery color! Any advice appreciated.

Well, I've never really seen this before. Here is a link to another grower who posted the same question but never really recieved any good answers. https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/122754-leaves-turning-silver-white.html

His photos are exactly what mine look like. Some larger plants and seedlings are exhibiting this...and strangely enough a few that have been planted guerrilla style in the woods, also have this problem...so, since I water all from the same source and all are fertilized more or less from the same source...my mind tends to think something in the water or fert...

The leafs look shiny and some almost white...very neat looking but kinda unsettling if you can't figure out the cause. My water is high in sulphur but gets filtered through a system. Top leafs show first. Doesn't seem to effect the growth at all. I may be the only grower sporting silver weed this year. Anyway, any info appreciated and if anyone has ever seen this, please respond.

Thanks,

Thank you for the advice. This could be a possibility as I grow strictly organic and that could be a defiency due to this. I have taken action and will post back on this in a few weeks with the results. Thanks again reefacheefa.

Well, actually upon further study and re-tracing my steps I realized that this is more than likely due to shock. I had a lot that were not affected at all even though the same medium, water and fert were used. I have quite a few in various stages and it just occured to me today that I may have made a rookie mistake. Not to divulge to much info but I have some in a greenhouse designed for this use, a grow room which is used for seeding this time of year, some in the house under skylights of a sort (in potters) and some in the forest...upon re-checking my logs I noticed...90 percent of the plants that exhibited this behaviour were brought directly from artificial light or (or close to it) and directly into three hot days of blasting sunshine.

It seemed to bleach (probably the best word to use) the leaves starting at the top and remove the chloropyll. Anyway, this is the best possiblilty I can figure so far. I will post pics at a later date for reference. Here is another post relating to this subject. https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/19336-bleaching-white-leaves.html

This mistake was made on my part due to numbers and distraction. As I stated before, any that were gradually introduced to the sun are doing very fine and are growing quite well. I'm just going to leave them grow and see what effect this has to the plant...so far it doesn't look good as in the past day certain leaves are becoming paper like in texture.

Thanks again to u guys for your help. Great site,

So far so good...any sun burned or sun shocked leaves have been pruned or have falling off. Some leaves have returned to a nice green color. Only one older plant is having a hard time getting out of the rut I put it in. Little droopy and dry. Will post pics of the whole time line soon.

UPDATE: plants have fully recovered...some are the best plants I've seen in awhile. The problem was definitely sun shock...so people, if you bring your plants from the indoors to the outdoors, be sure to let them adjust properly.
