Last touches on my first room

Hey, im setting up my first grow closet. And this is where im at. I have two 2' x 3' closets side by side in my room. I cleaned out the right one, swept and scrubbed down with clorox wipes. The walls and ceiling are textured white, bare plywood floor, and a brown backside to the door which I intend to paint flat white. I have a pole with chains to suspend a 400w MH light. There is a window within a couple feet of the door, so I can easily run 4" dryer exhaust system through a cut hole in the door. I'll be using a DWC fish tank system. I have some questions!

(1) I'm not sure about how much life is left on the bulb. Im inserting some pictures, maybe an electrician can estimate an hour span. Also in the picture I have plastic bags on the ground, I realized how much of a fire hazard that could be. I just took them out and don't feel like taking another picture. The lamp is now suspended from chains.

(2) I have a 4.2 P.S.I. adjustable air pump, (500cc/m min.-5500cc/m max.) from an old fish tank, and the air rock that I have is dirty and colored brown in some areas, can I clean it? how? if not they aren't that expensive so.

(3) I have a 8 or 9 inch holmes blizzard fan, can I rig something up to make the air flow into a 4 inch hose? It doesn't have to be into 4 inch, I just dont want to cut a huge hole in my closet door.

(4) I need to get nutes and and a growing media. If anyone has any recommendations for me please share. Where and what brands

(5) How far from the floating resivour should I have the lamp when the seedlings are trying to sprout? I know its close like 3-6 inches or something.

I guess I ask a lot of questions. any input is appreciated.

That bulb doesnt look healthy. Does it still fire up????

I would get a new one... You cant put a date on it, you should replace them before they blow though. Could be a fire hazard or cause plant problems if your not home when the bulb goes.

Whats up guys. Coming in here to update. Just pluggin in the last of the room. There is a oscilating fan in the corner ( i dont know if you can see it in the pic.). Tell me what you guys think, okay? 400w MH for veg, I have a 400w HPS for flowering. Thanksss By the way I switched to a sterlite container. The hanging black box is a 4" inline fan thatll be running into a carbon filter. maybe a dumb question but can I just put the carbon fiilter in the top of the area since there will be extra up there? or does it have to be filtered to outside the room?

okay guys, Im starting germination tommorrow. I have the exhaust system set and I ordered general hydroponics (grow, bloom, and micro nutes). They are pH stable, but does that mean ill never have to check my pH? I don't plan on using any bloom boosters. I have a heater in the resivour set to 75 degrees. 50/50 perlite/vermiculite mix for my growing medium. Im vegging with a 400w MH lamp and flowering with a 400W HPS.

I can't tell from the pics but your setup may need to be changed. Did you cut a hole in the Closet Door and duct outside or not? Is that an Air cooled Hood that you have closed off? Your scrubber should be outside the closet.

Ditch the Aluminum foil for sure you will have hot spots.
