@anzohaze beat me to it, @panhead I do hope your better half is feeling better soon!

Anytime I get a hankering to watch someone from a late night show, I YouTube a Jay Leno's Garage episode. It's fun, funny and always about something I care about...and would ya look at the bodywork on some of those cars! Woo hoo! Sex on wheels!

My kid just called me to let me know it was on, I'm recording it. I'm expecting a lot of cool guests to say goodbye, and I wanna see some tears from Dave. I've been watching on and off for over 25 years, best late night show ever...

Not on here yet in Seattle, but yeah, I'm planning on watching it. I never cared much for him, but back in the day it was the only show on late at night (YES BEFORE the baziliion cable channels) so he kind of grew on me. Now Paul Schaffer: NOT the least bit sorry to see HIM go. He bugs the shit out of me.

Heard the last top ten on the CBC. I also heard BILL MURRAY was going to jump out of a cake.

How was it?

HE is from THUNDER BAY.

They named a street after him. I never cared for his face either.

@panhead hope everything went ok with the surgery. the best to your wife and family.

God, so many hosts on the Tonight show. Barely remember Steve Allen. If I was lucky was able to watch him sometimes. Probably couldn't understand the humor, though, both he and Jack Paar were a little dry. Loved Johnny, he was probably the last one I cared to watch. Leno was OK. Their demise just makes me feel really old, so I don't watch the farewell episodes anymore. Hell, I'm probably asleep most of the time. Couple of bourbons after dinner and I'm out.

I never watched Dave much, but I'm still sorry to see him go. I can remember back when he was the latest rage and the only late night in town.

I also remember you from the early days @ panhead. I have no idea what my handle was back then, but it's great to hear from you again. :leaf:

What a let down that was…. Totally BORING. I guess though, what else could be said? Letterman just seems like he's miserable in his personal life. An unhappy person.

One thing I do like though is his Alfred E. Newman teeth. I've got a weakness for gap teeth. I think they're cute.
