Landrace strains

Ive had a terrible time trying to grow some seedlings. Everyone of my varieties of white widow, wonder woman, C99, purps, etc are not coming up or either rotting in the soil. The only ones that are coming up fine is the landrace varieties that I have. Now the question....if I pop more of these out now will they have time to finish if planted outside by late April and not receive a frost until sometime in Oct? Some years we may not get a frost tim sometime in Nov. I'm located in region 7 of the growing regions. I'm concerned about having enough time to flower. Also can I cross some pollen from a male landrace onto a c99 and be a good cross? I also have some Mazar Kush that I would like to cross as well into some of the Holy Smoke stuff. Or is it just bad business to be crossing these up since it takes so long to finish? Of what I have grown I seem to do a fantastic job compared to what some others are doing with the exact same clones. I was told that some of my stuff causes you to see lights and stuff. LolNo I do not smoke because it makes me terribly sick but I like to grow things and I have always loved the smell of some dank bud. I'm kinda paranoid about posting or even visiting this site but I'd love to post some pics of some of my grows. Got some colas almost as big as a gallon milk jug. Wet :)

That's the way I have done it now for a couple of years. Warm cup of water and the seed goes in and after a day or two the seed cracks and a tap root comes out. I then put that into some soil and give it a shot of water to moisten it and then put it in my enclosed germinator sitting on a heat pad for a dog. I then put a blanket over it so no light gets in and no heat escapes. In the spring and early summer I usually just put a seed in some dirt with a shit of water and a few days later I got a little plant poking through. I live on a farm and we raise all kinds of verities of plants and I've never seen a seed so picky as ganja. Except the landrace varieties they seem to have a very strong germ. Ive had some of seed rot and some dry out. It's either one or the other. Waisted a lot of money trying to pop some seed out of the ground. The other day I went to Wally World and bought some seed starter compressed pellets where you soak em in water and they blow up big and you stick a seed down in the hole and leave it in the tray. I'm trying this as well to see if it works. Otherwise I will have to wait until it gets warm enough to do it outside like I have done successfully in the past. I have some seed where I have only 1 and it took a lot if time and effort to get one and I don't want to see them rot or dry out. I'm interested in crossing some strains though. I love the vigor of the landrace so far and would like to cross it with some other sativa dominate strains like the C99.

I've not used the heating pad and had good results. I recently saw a thread in which the heating pad led to dead babies. :( cn
