Kitty - Use what god gave you ....... how many seeds could you fit in a tampon? I was gonna do that when I brought my seeds down from Vancouver, but things looked pretty cool so I kept em in my pocket. Of course we were driving so no x-rays etc. But who the hell is going to request to see the tampon that is inside you? LOL smuggling them that way will definately make you feel like they are truely your babies too ;p

By the way I'm just an hour or so up I-5 from you. /waves

Girly - An hour huh? That is cool!!! We were also thinking of getting our seeds in Canada and driving them back as a second option....if all failed or we got too scared in Amsterdam. I like the tampon idea!!! Smile. How was the seed options in Vancouver? We're wanting to get our hands on a few Greenhouse Strains.....

You are going to Amsterdam? Kewl. It rocks there. I spent 10 days there a few years back. Great times.:peace:

If you end up going to Canada for your seeds there are a few different seed banks in Vancouver that are retail stores. I got mine at Urban Organix .... I can't remember the street but it's across the street from the Amsterdam Cafe, if you know where that is. If you don't just look up Urban Organix on the web. There's other slightly shady feeling seed banks as well.

So I just made some more clones today, half a tray. My mothers are so bushy, I could have taken a lot more than I did. In a couple more weeks I will get 2 trays from them. I am getting ready for the spring outdoor grow. The plans are in motion. I also re-potted my 2 PPP plants I still have, going to flower them in a couple weeks under a 400 hps.:peace:

That sounds like a great plan Chiceh. I am also getting ready for spring. I cut a few clones and wished I had cut some more but I planted lots of seeds so I am ahead of last year but far.

I now have some indoor/outdoor seeds plus some outdoor ones.
I got white widow, BC Mango, Kaluna, and Big Bud plus some others I am not sure about. (unknowns until my others flower)
I may have a male in there somewhere but have lots of time to figure that out.

Are you really planning for 100 clones outdoors Chiceh? Thats a LOT of work!!!:?

What is ppp?:dunce:

I took some clones.... then fucked them all up ;p. I can tell for me at least cloning is going to be a learning curve. I haven't done cuttings before in my regular gardening so I was thinking maybe I should start doing that to practice.

Yeah cloning takes a bit of practice, especially with soft stems but for the upcoming season its a great way to get a huge head start.:hump:

My clones are doing ok but not fantastic. I have them planted in the wrong type of soil. for starters but I will switch them soon enough.

I have not done any cloning yet...do you use root hormone stuff and do you use the gel or powder??????

I have used the hormone stuff in the past but I just happen to have some of these cloning packs that i got for clematis but used for my weed instead.

I'll take a pic of one of them and show you what they look like. I got these cloning gel boxes from "lee valley" a couple of years ago but they worked very well. Very simple to use.

I find the main things to consider when taking clones is cleanliness. Razors, knives need to be sterilized first.

Main prob is that clones don't like to be put in direct light once they have been cut. They are extremely fragile and would rather hang out in your kitchen window or a romote area in your grow room furthest from the light for at least a week.

I have 8 of these clones. Right now it looks a bit limp because I only just transplanted it ot soil. The gel packs are great because it the least amount of effort and you can out more than one per container. i had about 4 in each.

I just top my plants and put into gel and leave them until i tranfer. :)

I now have 3 squares of rep bong so if you would like to contribute to help me get another box, that would be great.

:|that just didn't sound right for some reason

Why not? Then you have instant plants for outdoors. :)
The rep thing is that middle scale in the right hand corner.
You mean to tell me that you have never rep'ed anyone here before?
So you on a bowling team or somethin? :|

Heya Lacy, I am actually planning for more than 100, so I have some harvest. I use feilds around ree so if you plant 200, you may get back 75 or so. There is no way to tend to these during the season so you hope for the best. I do have some friends with land, there I will be able to tend to them and make sure there is some outcome. Last year 10 out of 100 made it.:peace:

That sounds like a great plan. Its too bad you couldn't have assess to them. One year I planted over 60 and got about 43 make it, including disregarding the males. I really lucked out that year because it rained every single weekend. It was either the summer of '92 or '93. A great year but I had access to them.

I lived in the country and had all kinds of perfect land around me to roam through and since people saw me walking my dog everywhere, they didn't think anything of it. Plus it was extremely enjoyable. Blaze told me that I was doing guerilla farming. Most of the best places I found were open spots within the forest. Its secure but sunny. I just made sure not to add bloodmeal or smelly organics.:?

I started all the plants from seeds the end of May and planted them outdoors the beginning of april. I lost a few due to the frost but they did much better than I expected. Of course I hardened them off before I put them out.

Its great exercise also. I wish you the best with your endevours. You must be getting excited.:blsmoke:
