Laboratory vaccum desiccator for hexane and alcohols?

I’m going to buy a purge chamber. Some of the companies selling vacuum chambers advice against using them to purge hexane and alcohols. I sometimes extract with hexane so I consider buying a laboratory desiccator made of glass. Those are relatively expensive but can handle any solvent.

I read an article on skunkpharm where they used a laboratory desiccator. It was a setup with a vacuum pump that looked high tech. I think it’s a solvent trap between the pump and the desiccator : https://skunkpharmresearch.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/vacuum-purge-setup-11.jpg

What’s the pros and cons of using a laboratory vacuum desiccator when purging hexane and alcohols?
