I think he is heading towards that, except for the cooling, have it be active or passive. I think he is trying to stock everything else. COBS, drivers, lenses, reflectors, he will soon supply everything besides the cooling elements, which makes sense when shipping from China.
Sad to see what went down in France, LJ. Hopefully someone will know to conjure up a solution.

Not sure. I ordered 3 185-1400b drivers and 8x3590 CD 3000k and 4x3590 5000k and it still has not been shipped. I ordered 11/8/15. Hell, I ordered beans from Attitude a few days after and they have already hit customs

How do order from Jerry? Whats the best bin # for the 3000k. Do you use the same driver for the 36v and the 72v? If not which one to buy for 36v and which one to buy for 72v. I'm planning on running 4 one 1 driver. I know that's a lot of questions and I sorry about that.

Not the same (sometime yes...lol...8x36V @700mA=23w!)
Hlg-185-1400b for 4 cxb 3590 36V
Hlg-185-700b for 4 cxb 3590 72V 200w each...4x 50w!
It is the same...I went with the 36V to be able to run them very low one day (11/12w @350mA)

So I see the 3000k only comes in cb bin. The 3500k comes in CD bin 72v. This is going to be a flower only led so which one out of those 2 bin would you order? Also reflectors or lens, what do you gentlemen like the best? Thanks for list Positivity

What's the difference between the MW driver 700a and 700b? Is it worth buying the driver in the USA for shipping purposes?

3500k all day.Best for veg and bloom.

I agree with 3500ºk cd all the way...!
Best light ever...cxb 3590 3500ºk 36V CD (or 72v no difference! )
The model a have a diming screw on the top (50% to 100%) b need a potentiometer between dim+ and dim- wires (2 $ and 5 mn work!) To go from 10% to 100% (best imo!)
And reflector if you have a lots of cob or no mylar on the walls!

A version internal dimming B version you need a potentiometer

I'm going order 12 of 3590 3500 72v cobs. I'm only going to build one light for right now. My scrog screen for the plants are 18 inch w and 40 inch long total for both. Went to heat sink USA and a 10x40 inch is 136.00. I want this to be the best that I can build so do I need 2, 3 or 4 cobs on this heat sink?

10x40 inch... (# & size of the fins!??)it is about 250x1000mm...I would say 8 cxb on it with 2x140mm [email protected]
I use 250x165x35 (14 fins)with a 120mm on it for 1 cxb 3590@1400mA and without the fan it is hot but don't burn the skin...but I want it to be cold! (Few more watt for few more years of use!)

Thats about it.
2 heatsinks instead of 1 might be better. 10" x 40" will be really heavy, plus the spread of light would be much better. Can just put a plug on the driver instead of splicing...yada yada. With a 5.375" you'd even end up with more aluminum...and more expensive.... But, slicker looking than 1 fatboy. 40" long you could drop down to a 4.9" or less I suppose, but with a passive goal I'd go bigger.

1 heatsink is nice too. Food for thought. Either way, good luck..

Jerry just emailed me back. Said my order will ship out Wednesday. Not great turn around, but Ill take it. Not in a hurry anyways.

I hate paypal tax...I have to try western Union option (maybe no tax or cheaper depend on the order...!)
I guess I am very close to the right size to go passive (250*165*35mm/10*6.6*1.4/ 14 fins for a cxb 3590@1400mA!) But I choose to go as cool as possible to improve efficiency and longevity...and a good 120/140mm fan @4.5V(8 $) make no noise and if it crash...no problemo!

I contacted him initially through Alibaba, then we emailed back and forth then he emailed me an invoice.

I've just received an order paid on Oct 16. Like a child on Christmas I went through the wrappings only to find out that Jerry sent me 7 3590s instead of 8. Hope he'll man up and solve it.
