Just curious on some of your thought on kids around your grow area.

I know society makes it look bad but is it really bad for kids to see marijuana grow?

Morally is it bad?

Im sure alot of the growers here have kids..How do you feel about this?

Im not asking for personal advice..I watched this movie a few days back and there is a little girl in a family of growers and was curious on some of your thoughts..

I wouldn't allow kids near the grow area simply because of the rule "tell no one" . Kids cant keep a secret for anything and it would bring attention to your grow from word of mouth.

I understand that but I mean if you had no worries of them talking...

The moral of it all because we are to believe that this is a bad thing..Does it make it worse if you have kids? Morally not legally

...I turn them into little trimmers...just call it salad...JUST KIDDING...don't try that...keep the door locked to the grow room and don't smoke around them is best.I

I have been caught smoking a few times by my granddaughter...she was 3...she sees people smoking cigs. so I was able to play it off...but I don't smoke cigs. and she knows PaPa is a non-smoker....so once I called it medicine...then later regreted that...lol...so now I keep it away...I use a sneek-a-toke for out-side things...but thats not going to work for long as she gets older

There isn't any physical problems that can occur to any person who is simply looking at a garden. The problems that can occur are entirely mental and has nothing to do with the child as well. To a child one plant isn't any different than another. Don't trust teenagers, they compulsively yap everything, even in their sleep because it is very important for them to be impressive amonst their peers.

On the contrary, I think it'd be a good thing for a kid to see a marijuana grow, I'd suggest though it be amongst other plants, not JUST weed, so the understand it's a plant, how it works, just like any other. You explain to them all this stuff of course.

Propaganda is powerful, I didn't really understand anything about marijuana till I was about 17. Just what I heard from the media..

Do you let them in the fridge when you have a six pack of your fave beer in there? Morally theres not one fucking thing wrong with weed as long as you're of age, letting the kids know about it if you're doing it legally isn't morally wrong. The day I think theres ANYTHING morally or ethically wrong with smoking weed will be the day I quit. I plan on smoking till the day I die.

Don't do it. That simple. Physically there is a chance something could affect them, bright lights, if you have a animal on your bottle of plant food with big letters saying "JUICE", see where I'm going with that. Then in school,"my mom or dad has plants in their closet or garage". Kids don't understand, and I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure child protective services could give a rats ass if you are medical. To me its not worth the chance of something happening where my child would be taken away. The older they get the worse it becomes. You wouldn't smoke in front of your kid would you? I'm not telling anyone how to raise there kids, that shit pisses me off when I hear it, its your family no one elses. Just be smart about it.

I not only lock my grow but I screw the door shut with 3 1/2" screws with a battery operated screw gun. Even if you are not growing pot a growroom is not a safe place for an unattended child.

My kids are still young, too young for them to keep that kind of secret. Dont want that kind of pressure on them anyways..think about it, if you arent a legal grower and your kid talks and you get busted, you wouldnt want that on your kids conscience.

When they are old enough (after all the DARE bullshit at school) then we will have a talk and they will see the grow. Until then, both grow areas are locked and behind a locked door.

It really depends what you feel they should be exposed to. If its more accepted in your corner of the world and society hasnt placed its scarlet letter on good ole maryJ, then it is what it is. but i guess its really how YOU feel about it. is it something they should be exposed to at their age? i have a 2 year old, but i never have to worry about her around my grow, its super-stealthy. IF it were larger, man, HELL no, shed tear up something or knock over plants...bad scene..lol..

morally? far be it from me to give you moral advice, you are your own man. but again, do they REALLY need to be exposed to it? probably not. but again, its situational imo.

I know a couple with five kids. They run a 6000w op in their home. The room is right next to the kitchen. He has enclosed this area of the house and made access through a hatch upstairs under his bed. He has it locked with several deadbolts. Before he showed me I had nothing to indicate that there was a grow-op right next to his kitchen table. Only his wife knew. When children are of an age past innocent it is better to not expose them to something as contraversial as marijuana. All of my children grow flowers and vegetable in the summer months and they love it so showing them my garden at an early age has had a possitive impact. My children don't think of or ask questions about marijuana.

The problems are entirely political. A marijuana plant will not harm your child, it's the politics that go with it that will harm your child. There are other plants that grow here in canada that are far more harmful than a pot plant. Beer in your fridge won't harm your child either. Consuption is another issue. I believe that the law should be raised to twenty-one for any person that wants to use mind altering substances such as alcohol and MJ if it were legal.
