So my humble South Central California city of Bakersfield is probably the most Right Wing city/county in California, its hot, miserable, the air is THE WORST in the nation and the only major things to do here is getting drunk and/or high, or going on vacation to some where else =) Anyways, there has been an off again / on again fight against medical marijuana and the city outlawed dispensaries some time ago within city limits. So as of now, some 20 plus dispensaries, not including delivery services and co-ops, have been thriving within parts of the county. A lot of them sell millions of dollars of pot which in turn gives millions in tax revenue to the local area and hundreds of jobs. Now the county counsel has deemed dispensaries, and growing outdoors, a "public nuisance" so they are voting on Aug 2nd whether or not to ban everything. What does that mean? only time will tell, but it probably means; less tax revenue, lost jobs, more black market activities to fill the need of people who are gonna get it one way or another, and turning normal legally growing citizens into criminals.
