Your auto's are fine but they are best with indoor lighting as they require more light than standard photo strains that's why there a bit small they will soon start getting bigger with more leafs they get. What is your location so I can get idea of area.
very generalist response to light levels ALL over the world. I live in Los Angeles 34 degrees north of the Equator and I can assure you that 2 days ago on summer solstice day it was light at 5:00 am and still light out at 9:00pm . 14 hours is not too shabby. I don't know where you live or the OP , chadc , etc. but unless they are north of the artic circle I don't get your answer.

I hate to argue, but this seems like mis labeled advice. I have no problems with t5's , but as long as the sun is free , I get more than 12 hours of it , and I do, and the legal stature remains like it is for Medical patients like myself. I don't see it

one of my chores as a kid in the Caribbean was to feed the chickens, every so often if I stepped on a whole corn it would grow out that big in 5 days. we had great soil back home , miss that

or just LST them down
I don't believe in plant abuse LOL . I'm just letting them do their thing. once I realized the Ruderalis in them was very low I just let them go so I can document it.

but I'm now topping all my seed based plants ( Harle-Tsu ) for my wife. Can you believe they " still " have not sexed ?

LMAO these are some retarded auto's

but im going to fall back on my original theory that when the plant stresses being rootbound it flowers
mine all auto'd in just a bit over normal times they seemed to veg for ever but still lights had nothing to do with it
but i was growing in alot smaller containers indoors
