Hey man I read through and your system is nice and the plants looked great along with that product.

I was seeing that you are having a problem seperating the roots because the plants are in the same veg container. If you make it a habit to pull the plants up every now and then it will help with that problem. Roots shouldn't be too long in veg so it won't be a hassle.

Or if you want I'm not sure what your vegger looks like but if you go with a double stacked bin set up like a stink bud design and run some lp aero misters off the water pump it will keep the roots separated more and still provide water to the plants when there small. As the roots grow they go right into the water for a dwc/lp aero design. Plants grow great and its what I did for a while. Still do really.

good suggestion!..i think with the setup i have my vegger is the same tub i use for my areo cloner just intead of 35 net pots it only has 4 the roots tend to tangle right around the second or third week theyre in there. I never really thought of just pulling them up every few days to keep them from tangling im in there everyday anyways so i might as well add that to the list of things I go about doing...as for building a new system I actually plan to veg my plants in an actual 5 gal DWC bucket when i build the next room..my veg plants are just in a small room maybe like 15x6 its an unfinished bathroom in the basement..I plan to throw up a wall downstairs and section a new area off to create a second flowering room this way when I dont share a room with my ol man anymore he can take over both rooms and they will be already set up the right way for him..

the vegger right now sucks in two ways the roots tangle and they are not big enough to use the 5 gal bucket lid net pots so they are in 8 inch net pots that i transfer over to the bucket lid style..my "custom" bucket lids have the bottom cut out of them about an inch smaller than the 8 inch nets so they just sit right inside the lid pots and i can fill around it with hydroton

UPDATE***
so as of now all the plants with root damage are about 70-95% back to normal the two that didnt get it too bad are fine lil growth loss and stress stunting but they should recover just fine the other two that were damaged a lil more have finially perked back up and lost a lil more veg off them but willl make a full recovery by next week luckily they were the largest plants out of all of them and the littlest plants and slow growing GDP got an extra week to catch up..Ill get some pictures of the white fire seedlings in here to at some point

new "computer style" graff tag

420science jars 100% gaurenteed for life good buy these are the mediums and can hold half oz or more depending on how dense your nugs are it can hold a oz of my pre'98 since the buds are like rocks
420jars.jpg

my new barrel/scope the ol man got me for my 870..now i got a wingmaster 870 magnum with 28' barrel for goose/small game, a 18 inch rifled slug barrel with iron sights for pushing deer, and my new 24' fully rifeled slug barrel w scope soon to be sighted in at 200 yds to snipe the biggest buckets on the property lol which i didnt get a crack at with the gun yet..dumped a 5 pt i thought was a six earlier this year in bow at 30yrds and seen a few monsters at like 70-90yds during bow but no luck on the big boys next year tho I've found a better spot on the 1500 acre farm that butts up to the left side of my property that im going to hunt seeing that the new farm owner doesnt know the property lines at all and there are no markers so ill be pushing about 50-60 yards further off my property and will smoke a big boy opening day of bow season gaurenteed which id rather shoot a monster with my bow..its more of a true hunt than a 150yrd shot on a buck that took no skill in stealth or windage to get

heres the full room dropped the lights to be about 2.5-3 ft from the plants now since theyve been in there about a week and they have started to really grow quick

allplants.jpg
allrdwc.jpg

left side we got 2 unknown cc plants ill just call chemy since they seem to be a chemdawg cross and the two in the back l-r power kush and GDP
leftside.jpg

4 more GDP really bushing out!
GDPs.jpg

right side up front left is the pre 98' bubba just kicking ass next to the GDPs is deff the best growing in the garden itll be neck and neck with the GDP for healthiest plant but probably yeild the best out of all of them due to the rediculously dense buds it produces
rightside.jpg

next two shots are the pre 98' bubba this plant has become a real keeper easy to grow flowers quick was ready around 55 days but i let it push to 9 weeks if i can keep the bud rot off her
pre98 (2).jpgpre98.jpg

the shared side these are the ol mans dirt plants which have been in soil about a month longer than mine have been in hydro itll be nice to show ppl a comparision run with the same strains next to each other in dirt and hydro..I took the GDP and power kush clones (along with the others at same time) from these plants when they were just big enough to cut clones and im talking 3-4 inch tall clones I think my GDP was only about 3 inches tall when i put it in the vegger a so these plants were about 2-3 weeks old when my clones were thrown in the areo 2 weeks in there then vegged in the veg room for about 3 weeks so id say those plants are almost 2 months old (veg time) and mine are about a month of veg ..really shows the immense growth rates of hydro and skilled growers id say another few runs and ill be running plants that look like yours nitro!

my daily gear lol

this is a sweet one hitter my ol lady got me for xmas its hand blown glass with copper on the outside never seen on like it and it was also a showcase peice from a local glass blower around my area..I love one hitters cuz i dont smoke a ton of weed I'm passed the point in my life where i need to be retarded all day everyday I just smoke enough to be stoned and ease my mind but still be very funtional in my day to day..but I lost my old one that i loved havent seen it in a few years and the ol lady really only likes to smoke joints so she got me a new better one for my day to day
xmas1hitter.jpg
heres the same strain only difference between the 2 is one was hydro one was dirt and the hydro plant went an extra week compared to the dirt

hope everyone had a good safe xmas i know michigan was crazy we got a terrible ice storm xmas eve and i was on the freeway for over 2 hours on a 35-40 min drive going a max speed of 25-55 at times and then yesterday it took me 3 hours to get a part for my plow from a store 30 min away lol ...youd think ppl in michigan would be used to the snow storms its like spring and summer come and ppl 100% forgot how to fucking drive i almost go into and accident b/c some guy felt the need to pull out of his drive infront of me and couldnt get traction and i couldnt stop luckily his little shit car grabbed earth and got out the way before my diesel 350 smashed his dumb ass lol...

Ill get some pics of the wifi as soon as i get my plow fixed gotta tear the pump out and replace it

OOOHHHHH!!!!!
I found my old videos on youtube from when i was a outdoor grower this is the garden that got raided hence the reason i stopped ad stopped posting on RIU and got a new sign in name lol had to quit for a while the cops came looking for me but couldnt prove anything I belive I was ratted out.. but enjoy the massive plants that could have been and sry in advance for the shaky camera

this is the first vid of them earlier in the year still big
http://youtu.be/VGTc3JxY2kI

and this vid is of them about a week or two into flower about 10 days before the plants were taken by leo

We are about 10 extra days in veg and the plants have surely doubled especially the pre 98' which was previously just tested in soil and looks more than at home in the rdwc only mistake I've made with it was not making more clones :) lol..deff the healthiest and best plant in the garden out growing and more than likely out yield the plants as well..

Did a Res change 2 days ago refilled with a little lighter nutrient solution around 850 ppm also cut out h2o2 and went with bennies to get the roots pumping since the damage to a few root systems deff beat down a couple plants and the smaller plants could use it to keep up in flowering so I pumped in 50 ml of hygrozyme which is lower than normal and then just a random amount of orca as well..

So rundown
Ppm 850
Ph dropped from 6.8 to 6
Water temp 72
Room temp 80
Co2 850-1300

Switching to 12/12 the first and will leave the veg nutes in there until the first week is over and switch to flowering nutes at around 900-950 ppm to start and work my way up to 1100-1200 ppm I could go up to 1400 but I've found that less is much better..the nute schedule calls for huge amount and when mixed together in ro water is around 1900ppm so I run 1/4 the amount early in in veg and 1/2 the amount right now and then work my way up to 2/3's good piece of info for those running green planet nutes

Or any nutes for that matter less is better if everyone growing used a ppm meter for soil or hydro I think they'd have less problems and yield far better

Pics will be up in a few hours I'll be in the room working for a bit and taking pics as well

ok well idk what has happened but all of my pics have disappeared in the thread and also in my attachments manager?

uggh so very annoying i dont want to have to reload all of them agian..so just emailed the support thing and hopefully a mod will chime in on to the where abouts of my pictures seeing they were here like 3 days ago..

well hopefully they will show back up and i dont have to reload everything maybe a mod can fix this for me?

on with the latest update..i think what ill do from here is load them onto photo bucket and throw them from there to here that way the pictures are smaller in data size but bigger in the thread

so update..

were just a few days from switching lights to 12/12.. the plants have all been de-stressed and have grown new roots where needed it looks like i did burn all of the roots switching to the new system and bumped the nutes up just a bnit too much so reminder for next time a 300ppm jump is far too much lol..I've swapped out another 600w for a 1000w light with a dimmable ballast itll run 400-600-1000-1000+"turbo charged" aka burn your bulb out quicker..so I now have a grand total of 2600w on my side and my ol man is running 4 600w for a total of 2400w so were looking at 5000w grow all together and a total of 28 plants in flower 12 on my side and 16 on his..it'll be cool to get a full comparision dirt to to hydro and seeing if i pull more with 3 lights and 4 less plants than he does with 4 lights..he may have more lights but has less wattage..his goal .5g per watt average should yeild 1200g or 2.67 lbs which is a little bit more than what he pulled last run coming in at 2.25 lbs .56 g per watt average not bad at all for a newb on their 5th run

heres the plants in order front plant 1st then the one behind it left to right they are getting to big to take group shots

this is the pre 98' getting huge and somthing i noticed there are NO pre flowers where a pre flower should be there is a branch shooting out on every single node there isnt a single pre flower

self scroged chemy

entire room shots and random stems

wifis

oh and to remind everyone this will kill your lumen output remember to clean your glass lol mine was pretty bad probably havent cleaned the glass for about 4 months

you can tell which plants got burnt bad and which it hadnt really effected at all..the GDPs in the middle took it the worst and pretty much lost all of the roots hence the yellowed leaves they have since made a full recovery and the yellowing has stoped on all new growth looks like i have a double pic in there too photobucket is shitting out on me right now as weel i got 3 pages opened up cuz itll freeze and not let me close it so i gotta open a new one post as much as possible and then start agian ill see what i can do about fixing it

going thru other threads its sems as tho if you posted pics last year they are now gone maybe riu did a clean up to free up space

Yah looks like you've spent a lot of time in that room setting up a nice system. Plant's look great too. I'm still working with clones and vegger's. lol. Nothing nice to look at still for a bit.

Some nice monster stem's in there too. I always like those big fat indica leaves but I have more mix's like the others in your shot.

As for the plant's in the 5gal are those your mother's ? Just curious.

Oh and I don't use hood's. lol.

Well Ill add that I would use a hood just not the glass.

I use hoods only bc I don't use an AC unit just for the room I've been a small scale grower until recently so I'm adding bits a pieces here and there and lighting and other stuff is more important at the moment..so I use the hoods and hook up my exhaust fan to the lights and draw out the heat and also humidity and pull in fresh cool air from outside the room the basement is always 70°f or less..

As for mothers are you talking 5gal dirt buckets you can see? Those are my ol mans plants he's a newb and has only been growing for about a year or so..he's only done 2 runs on his own w/o my help at all so I have him running dirt b/c its more forgiving..right now I don't have mothers I'm in the selection process and have recently just taken all my clones this run will determine the 4 strains I'll be keeping with wifi and my special pre 98' cut which is just a phenom plant BIG yeild and amazing trich production same with the wifi depending on pheno...I'm looking for two very high quality "production" strains and production in a sense of AAA+ top shelf quality buds with the highest yeild with out sacrificing taste smell and overall quality to get a big yeild...I rather quality over quantity to a point..I still need to pay the bills and keep my product price down around 200 per oz for patients and the dispensary..so it needs to cost less than 50$ per oz for me to grow it including electricity nutes and total price of my equipment.. treat it like a buisness and you'll make money. The money I make goes back into the grow to expand to my legal state limit

You got some pics of your system?
yessir I'll get some pics up for you in just a minute of everything..

Last page last couple posts lolz i cant upload pix to my album either wonder whats up with that
Idk what has happened but it seems like riu cleaned up the forum for the new year to free up space all the pics from last year are gone here and in my attachment folder I've posted all my pictures to photo bucket to post them up on here and emailed riu support about my thread kinda pissed all my pics are gone..its a bitch but its ok cuz they were mainly veg pics

Flipped to 12/12 today..also switched all the 7 lights over to an 8 light controller running on 240v instead of 120v..

Now this DOES NOT cut your electric bill down the electric company charges in kilowatts if you do the math it breaks down the same the only difference is on 120v you'll run say 1000w at 8.4 amps on 240v you'll run 1000w at 4.2 amps..ultimately the wattage is the same it just runs on less amps..the perks is the bigger gauge wire is less resistant and you'll lose less electricity thru the wire heating up..my bill is 750-850$ per month the way it was wired before was half ass and the lights were on two separate circuits and over loaded so I may see a 20$ drop now that all the lights are on one circuit and have less resistance with larger wire..

Other benefits are purely safety running up to 8000w on one circuit pulls a lot of electricity and on 120v would create a large amount of heat within the wires this is where you get fires the way I had my lights and timer wired was almost dangerous I had to small gauge wire running on a 50 amp single pole breaker and overloaded the small wire over time the outer coating on the "hot" wire will become crystiline from the heat and once its brittle fall off best case scenario would be the wire crosses and trips the breaker but it could also start a fire..

So all in all 240v runs less amps and costs the same on a small scale it will however be easier for the HID lights to fire up and with electronic ballasts they will run more efficiently and cooler as well..plus electronic ballasts have less of chance of catching fire..

I'll get pics of the entire system for everyone just a minute

alright fella's this is for kenngodd mainly but for whoever else is looking into making a system as well...I dont have alot of time right now to explian everything in great detail so feel free to ask a question if I missed somthing I'm just crunched for time atm been wasting time tryn to copy my phones sd card so i can replace it with a newer larger sd card going from 2gb to 16gb which is what my phone came with i just didnt have time to wait for verizon to swap them...

so anyways this is just a run down of my rooms and systems for kenngodd and everyone else lol

veg room 3 tubs with 4 8 inch nets pots 2 4 inch air discs in each and one big air pump for all..also holds the 35 site cloner I built myself as well actually all of my hydro systems I've built myself

cloner & veg room

there is 3 6 tube t8 way cheaper than t5 and does the same thing better than t12 even tho you can use them these t8's you have to wire them yourself (just the power cord) and altogether with bulbs and cord are 113$ out the door at home depot..

cloner is a tough box i think black bottom yellow top with squares its got deep side walls on the lid so it doesnt leak for a long time when it does start to drip theres already holes in the lids and you can just throw some washers and wing nuts on there ,. 3/4 inch pvc pipe and 600gph pump for the areo and i used the actual misters from the ez clone also the net pots are the same size as the ez cloner and the pucks are from it as well think it cost like 75$ to make it

then this will be just a bunch of photos of the flowering room and what i use ill try to keep it in an order and tag photos so you know what your looking at but probably come back later and edit this to further explian just tryn to get everything up for you fellas

FLOWERING ROOM

RDWC 5 gal buckets ..660gph pump 1inch poly tubing in between buckets except the last two on the end and 2 the pump and then from the pump to the control bucket is 3/4 inch keeps the buckets level and the flow correct..there is 2 big air pumps each control air on one side of the system 1 pump wasnt enough it worked but 2 is better then all pipes and buckets are insulated lids are 8 inch bucket nets..I just set the veg 8 inch net pots inside of the bucket lids cuz there a hiar bigger the bucket nets are also cut out on the bottom to allow the roots to fall thru

55 gallon res with float and constant R/O water keeps it full of fresh water everyday

R/O waste direclty into the sump

heres the lighting and timer and wiring

then entire room shots

Sick operation man. I used to use the same strong boxes for my aero/rdwc set up in the past. I still have them now and they hold my hoses, cords, and tool belts at work. lol. They hold up great.

As to the the plants in the 5 gal buckets yes that was what i was referring to and I got ya. Do you guys just water and let them drain on the floor or do yo not keep any drainage holes in the buckets for dirt ?

I have a 13000 btu stand alone I bought for my apartment I have been using for the room now. I have a second bigger window unit as well for my place in the summer if i don't get the chance to buy another till then. I vent the flower tent into the room and keep the room cooled. I do need to get a booster fan as a intake but I've been trying not to spend money at the moment. lol.
