Awesome thread. I am curious about your stressing techniques. When you give light leaks is it constant through the whole grow or just for a time? Do they not wanna reveg? Any extra info on any of the stressing techniques you do will be appreciated.

thank you glad your enjoying it :)
i stress them as often as possible for the first 4 weeks then only occasional leaks or leaving cracks in the closet all through the dark period and sometimes only part of it. no, no reveggers but it definitely coaxes out intersex traits.
do you have any more specific questions i didnt address?

2014-09-18_17-08-26_872.jpgI found this seedling popped out of a cup from my k10 that the rats missed, only 1 and its taking forever to show sex and the top grows just like my k10 minus all the extra mutations so hopefully this is what im looking for!

i also have a few shiatsu kush from my #52 ( a very nice plant) going right now and high ratios of females and the girls always show before boys for some reason.... idk why. those are f3 shiatsu and I will be producing f4 seed with them to further lock down the traits i like about shiatsu kush and incorporate that into my kaiju at a later date.

003 (2).jpgturned out female!!!! and flowers exactly like my k10.....
unfortunately my pups got hold of it and she is no more :(
but she gives me hope that k10 throws very similar progeny! idk yet cant be certain so ill have to wait until my k10 clone is big enough to flower and use for seed production.
until then ive got 9 females plus 4 that i have in a solo cup compettiton from my shiatsu kush number 52 ( a litter mate to k10) pollinated by 2 males from that same f3 batch of shiatsu 52. ill be saving the males for later use and also attempting to reveg all females when I feel seeds have set 4-5 weeks so I will have F4 shiatsu 52 seeds soon (all flowered in cups on 12/12 using sunlight and bringing in at night lots and lots of light bouncing and still not a single hermi2014-09-18_17-09-05_557.jpg

What are the traits you are trying to lock down in the Shiatsu kush? I looked through your postings but didn't find a smoke report on it. It's a strain I really want to grow out.

Do you think it's possible to do a proper breeding project but on a smaller scale? I wanted to get into creating/recreating a strain but I don't think I have the room to run large test groups.

Well i like the high its a good head body mix thats really enjoyable in the early afternoon, smell is pretty consistent i just havent been able to fully describe it so until then id say its a creamy lemon that brings to mind the color blue.... idk why density, frostiness and overall bag appeal just general things what im really doing is trying to create a

"Skeleton" strain that i can pull traits from other strains via backcrossing with. Didnt have any ibls and i think the best way to learn to do something well is to just do it and keep on doing it all the tim, really learn a lot if your passionate and enjoy your work.
And as to your second question yes its possible but takes a lot of time pm me if you want to discuss it more.

CAM00193.jpg Thats one of the traits from my shiatsu52 F2 i loved! Nice resin Coverage and loud smell F4 seeds will be done in a few weeks then ill harvest, reveg, dry my seed, and maybe flower the moms once more (for smoke reports) before popping the F4 which ill then use to enhance my kaiju line

Seeds were harvested and dried and are now ready to crack I just need to clear some space out, I have some clones running in the tent Ill be using to grow out my shiatsu 52 population ive got about 50 seeds from my choice F3 plant and ive saved it as a clone as well in case I dont find what Im looking for. I threw a few seeds straight from calyx to soil and got one to come up its been growing a little over a month and has enough nodes now that sex should be apparent any day now. I also gave feminization another whack and failed miserably! not a single pollen sack after 3 weeks of twice daily spraying! so I am now revegging that K10 F2 clone and will just make a cross to my shiatsu 52 line with it instead of selfing.
Oh yeah and ive got mites now >:( grrr!!
attached is a pic of my atomizer and CS bottle
A K10 clone 2 weeks into flower
my closet with cherry bomb, K10, couple gdp x querkle crosses

100% germination rate on these kaiju52 F4
this line seems to breed true for the unique smell ive been after (lemon vanilla cedar)
some random leaf mutations (dont effect growth)
Sativa dom growth pattern
high ratio of females
extremely vigorous growth under all conditions

should be even more stable after this generation, I also have clones of F2, F3, and F4 plants I will be flowering shortly to compare side by side and do some inter-generational crosses.

here are the kaiju 52-F4 seedlings growing very vigorously, even outpacing my autos :)
leaf structure is very uniform all a long slender sativa type just like the shiatsu52 mamma

these 2 survived the mites thanks to my vigilance and constant habanero spraying (took like a month!!!)
the multi headed one on left is the kaiju52 mom i used for thes F4 and the one in front is an F4 seedling I put into soil straight out of the calyx with a few other and was the only one to pop bout 2 months back

going very well, these should be done 3 months from today

Looks good so far. I don't know if it just my eyes are messing with my mind cuz I looked at the picture back in first page , the F1 and f5 is different but same mutant alike, f5 looks better than f1 ?

this would be the F4 that im running atm and the run where I did 100 girls to find my K10 and K52 to start this line was the F2 I think thats the one you mean.
so far its looking a lot better than the previous generations because they look way more uniform now but once they hit flower ill know for sure if ive made any real progress with my last selections.
