What up all my dank growing brethren. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is DocFuego.
I am an organic / pro-biotic grower residing in the beautiful state of Colorado.
A little about me? I have been involved in growing cannabis for going on 15 years now.
I was born and raised in the corn belt, spending the last 15 years dodging the man in one of the most conservative states in the US. About a year ago, I decided I had finally had enough and made the choice to pack up my family and head west to where I could finally pursue my dream and share my love of this beautiful plant with other like minded individuals, without the fear of persecution.
To date, this has been the best choice I have made in my life.
See, my dream has been to start my breeding projects and improve upon the gene pool with stellar hybrids that are stable, true breeding progeny, that are held as some of the best smelling, tasting, and intoxicating buds on the planet.
I have been working on many strains and improving upon them for the last 5 years.
I am in no way calling myself a breeder, but I will call myself an up and coming one.
So I figure the best way to get out there and network now that I am no longer in the underground / outlaw circuit, and can finally show my face so to speak, would be to join some of the well known forums and link up with the rest of the world.
I look forward to sharing some of my knowledge as well as picking up alot of it along the way.
So with all that said, Im glad to be here, and I will leave you with a few shots of my latest adventures in the Rockies.
Can't wait to show the world the results of my humble little operation.

The bud on the left in the side by side is an OG cross that brings the OG funk with a substantial gain on weight. Smell and taste are all OG on that one which was the goal, but doubles the weight and adds just a bit more profile to the high.

The bud on the right is a true Durban Poison × With an unknown indica that is out of this world. She is all citrus in the aroma when she is growing. Once cured she is all grapefuit when you stick your nose in the jar. On the smoke she has a bit of a piney and hashy flavor mingled in with the citrus. On the exhale she is all grapefryit and tangerines. The high on her is a durban poison on steroids. Imagine that crazy DP head high magnified, with a body numbing melt to follow. Couple that with the stone lasting 4-6 hours and no build up, and she is a winner. I am working on F3's of her now. The results have been extremely uniform growth and almost 75% consistency on the taste and smell. She is my prized bitch at the moment.
If only these forums had scratch and sniff capabilities. Godlike no doubt!!!

looks good man, what type of soil and nutrients do you prefer?
nice training job on that one too
also what breeders do you like?
Bodhi got started in a similar way, and his genetics are top notch.

Thanks bro. I appreciate that. I mix and amend my own soil and use strictly teas and plain water throughout the entire life cycle. I found long ago that organics allows cannabis to display alot of different phenotypic expressions and top notch quality on the finished product. So I went 100% organic long ago.

what are you using for amendments??? I run a pretty standard mix of Neem meal, Crab meal, Kelp, Alfalfa, rock dusts, Gypsum, Oyster Shell flour, Insect Frass, Fishbone meal. Been making my compost at home and just got a worm farm going. never looked back when i switched to organics :) Also what kind of teas are you into? Mine are strictly microbial, but I may start to dabble in some kelp teas (transplant and early bloom), and alfalfa (for veg). Also coconut water and aloe vera are standards in my garden as well :)

My mix contains the following amendments.
    • Neem meal
    • Kelp meal
    • Crustacean meal
    • organic insect frass
    • Gro-Kashi
    • Karanja Meal
    • fish bone meal
    • Composted organic dairy cow manure
    • yarrow
    • chamomile
    • valerian
    • stinging nettle
    • dandelion
    • Composted oak bark
    • Oyster Shell Flour
    • Gypsum
    • Glacial Rock Dust
    • Basalt
    • Calcium Bentonite

I use kelp and alfaflfa teas up until the 2nd week of flower. Then I use a combination of aerobic and anerobic teas comprised of kelp, insect frass, grokashi and molasses. I also use different SST's at times.

nice! I'm going to harvest a ton of nettle this spring. they grow like crazy near me. Also i have a bad dandelion problem in my yard where we dont spray anything so i'll be harvesting a lot of those in the spring too. i did that last year and composted them, but this year I think i'm going to dry them and powder them for soil amendment, roots and all. do you use the flower as well or no? My herb borage is starting to seed out a lot too in my garden so that'll be on my regular harvest and dry list as well. I'm still learning... only been organic for about a year, and i had a PM problem for a while so i wasn't getting to learn as quickly as i had liked. Had to eradicate the PM with sulfur burner after trying a shit ton of other stuff. PM is the worst! I'll take mites any day over that shit lol

I have done some OG crosses, some skunk crosses, some Durban Poison crosses, some blueberry crosses, and on and on.
The two above are my main projects right now.
I just popped 16 old school Acapulco gold beans that have been stored since '73.
Of the 16 I managed 8 to break ground.
I am crossing my fingers for a stud male as I really need a stud landrace sativa in my program. I have a killer G13 female and a Cindy99 female that really need a good man in their lives.
I would like to focus on the old school genetics. I am getting bored with the OG's.

what lights of you have man?
if you have an "extra" 600 watts available I HIGHLY recommend using the 10k 600 watt metal halide bulb, not only does it make some seriously large trichomes, but I have had ZERO powder mold since I started using it, and i'm in a redwood rainforest, and California has gotten a WET winter and fall, not even a speck of it
I guess it could be coincidence but every harvest I have to battle the PM, and since I started the 10k I am mold-free.
didn't change anything else at all
run the 10k in an open hood, (the exhaust side)and make sure you get some good sunglasses or oxy-acetylene cutting glasses.
the same sort of concept they use in hospitals and reef tanks
worth a try, the bulb is only like 80 bucks or so
plus like I said the trichs are noticeably larger with the MH
not for use as a sole source of light though, ya gotta match it a hps
    ideally 2/1
but I run a 1/1 and rotate the plants, every ten days
funny how obvious the differences are when using the different bulbs though
