We look at THC degradation as a bad thing for obvious reasons. However its purpose in the resin is TO degrade. The flowers hold the most precious part of the plant: its genetic material for reproduction.
THC shouldn't be left in the light because...it degrades? If you used wax as sunscreen it would work very well.
Next time you feel THC in your brain, realize that your brain is a very capable and special organ that is using the mechanisms it has to "feel" THC. Maybe the reason THC makes people "FEEL" so good is because it exists to protect plants from death. Like mother nature's molecule which protects life is FELT by our brains and it makes us want to eat and sleep and laugh. Maybe the neural systems affected by cannabis are deeply linked through evolution to the plants system of protection against the sun, and our incredibly capable brains manifest that into a "high". So like: good vibes and stuff because it literally prevents cancer and mutation in cannabis buds
