Just realized I need a base nutrient! Help!

So I have a buddy whos been sort of guiding me through this grow and he kept Ellington me about bloom boosters and stuff but never really informed me that in addition to these you need base nutrients as well. Im growing in soil that already has some ferts (Mix of MG Organic, MG Perlite, and Hyponex soil) and through veg I've just been using a touch of Advanced Nutrients NoShock.

I have Advanced Nutrients Big Bud on the way and I also have General Hydroponics KoolBloom Liquid as well. does anyone have any ideas for a good base nutrient? And also does anyone wanna give me an idea of a good feeding timeline for flowering? I should be starting flower in a week.

Thanks for any help. -C&W

i use dr. earth bud and bloom booster and it works great!

all organic...

i dont understand what you mean by "base nutrient", can you elaborate?

also, i usually begin half strength when flower starts 4wks in switch to full strength till 1 wk before end of flower...

Well apparently it's good to have a base nutrient and supplement it with a bloom booster.I have been told that bloom boosters like BigBud don't have the all the essentials for flowering and your supposed to use a base nutrient and supplement it with bloom boosters. I could be wrong....

General Hydroponics 3 part would probably be a good solution for you. Or even their 2 part. I've been considering switching to their dry 2 part actually, I currently use their liquid 3 part but its pricey in the qtys we use it. They have instruction charts on what percentages to use it in conjunction with the KoolBloom.

I've been waiting for replies for days don't worry its like that on heremYou deffinately need a base nutrient.Dependant on where your from has an effect cause here in the UK we have a lot of different ferts aslong as a few american ones but not as much as we'd like! If your from the UK I'd go with something like Plagron Bloom, I have been using this for 3 years, an with the right temps, lighting an conditions you'll usually yield about 3 ounces a plant. In america I hear a lot of talk about this Dyna-Gro Bloom, they have recently started sellin it in the UK so once my plagron runs out I'm gonna switch to it for 1 or 2 grows to see what results I get! But its supposed to be the bollox!!Slow replies on here, lame!
