Just kinda confused...help please?

So, I have an auto-flower girl who is looking reallllllllll good.

She first started showing sex March 19th. So, I started counting "flowering" days from then, right? (since its an auto-flower). Which means, shes been "flowering" for almost 7 weeks to the day, which means 49 days of flower.

I have a friend who grew this same exact strain, and he chopped his at 65 days TOTAL. My girl is 63 days total.

However...NONE of her trichs are turning amber at all! I check her every day, waiting for some to be amber...and not a single one!

How long before I harvest should I see the first amber trichs? I think most of them are cloudy right now (although I can't really tell cloudy from clear).

I was planning on flushing her next week, and harvesting on the 19th. Does that sound OK? Think she'll have some amber by then? I'm confused.


Edit: Dr. Chronics site says 10 weeks from seed. 10 weeks will be next week. Should I flush next week?

Differrent environments will prolong time til harvest, or make it shorter...

Rule #1: Never ask advice about when to kill your plants without at least a photo of the plant and the grow room. Everyones room is different, CO2 makes plants finish faster, stressing can slow em down, etc...... Personally, I chop every 60 days regardless if done or not. But, that's because of a multiple harvest schedule to keep tight to. A lot of people for their own personal grows, which it sounds like yours is for sure, will buy a little scope or magnifying glass to check the trich colors. Go by that, and it'll be spot on for you every time.

If you are this close to chop and havn't flushed -- well you should flush...... WHat I do for harvest


Last 2 weeks - PH'ed water only
When trichs are the lvl of amber I prefer ( I like the couch lock so lots of amber (about 60-70%))
Take 5 gal bucket fill with water and drop in an airstone (connected to an air pump)
Cut the lady and place in bucket with airstone bubbling.
Turn off lights and wait 3 days
Trim and hang

This process flushes all nutes etc out of plant and the dark cycle at the end puts on a ton of trich weight. The taste is night and day between a non bubbler flushed plant.

Yeah, shes got 2 weeks today (according to my calculations anyway)...so, just h2o for the next few days?

yeah i would start flushing. my first grow was a easyryder and same thing, i was worried about time frame (i went about 10 days over), but as long as you check the trichs you cant go wrong. i rather flush a few days too much, then not long enough...

I forgot I subscribed and re-read your original post........... You asked if we start counting flowering days from when the plants begin their sexing....... Remembering that you have an AUTO flowering strain of course........ On a regular force flowering strain, you count flowering the day you turn the lights on 12/12 from 18/6 rather than the day the plants show sexing.

I'm NOT sure about auto flowers since I dont grow them, but dont you count auto flowers from the day they sprout up for a total grow time or something along those lines? Somewhat curious too myself...

It is of the general consensus that flowering is not counted until they show sex, Now if you if you veg long enough to show preflowers (or pre sexing) Then you can count flowering from the day you flip the lights. If you don't let it veg long enough to show a little sex then when you flip them you are forcing the flowering hormones to start working in the plant. If you let them presex the hormones are allready running in em and flowering starts almost imiadiatly.
