Jury nullification

How can Jury Nullification help legalize marijuana in your state? Well a jury comprises of 12 people, and out of those 12, 4 of them have smoked pot in the past, and out of those 4 at least 1 is a chronic smoker today. Since it only takes 1 Juror to disagree with the others to nullify your conviction I'd say that's pretty good odds. If this was poker I'd put money on it.

How does Jury nullification work? EDUCATION! You have to spread the word to EVERY POT HEAD YOU KNOW!!! Today judges will tell the jury to only take instruction of the law from him, and that the judge is the only person who can interpret the law. This is complete malarkey! The power you have as a member of a jury is that you DON'T have to enforce bad laws. No one can force you to vote against your own morals, and they certainly can't retaliate against you for voting your conscience! I firmly urge you to vote down bad laws, and encourage you to do so if you ever find yourself on a jury. Does this mean you could let a murderer walk free.....? Well yes, but we're talking about grass here.

I recommend you all read the part about jury nullification in the "citizen's rule book" - it's free online in PDF format. Simply type "citizen's rule book pdf" into google.

I'm not sure about the rules for posting links, but if it's ok I'll post one below if asked.

You are mostly correct. In a few states (Oregon for one) juries need only 9-3 to convict.

A wise thing to do is to carry a copy of the jury nullification section in one's wallet or purse. That way it can be introduced into evidence if arrested. Otherwise, most jurists suppose they must convict.
