Johnston Grow Light CX9 NOT SAFE

Safety concerns are obviously a big thing and very important to let others know about. However the title of the thread is not a one off warning but you basically blasted everything coming from the company by saying their lights aren't safe. A lot of people will see your title and possibly not even read your thread, what do you think their thoughts of the company would be after seeing your title without knowing how great the customer support was. That's why you should change your title to be a one off warning that this happened. Instead it comes off as a blanket statement that this company doesn't make safe lights.
I can't edit the title I tried, If a MODERATOR would like to edit it thats fine.

Just an observation... do an internet search and top of the list is "Johnson Grow Light NOT SAFE"
Listen I can see how you guys are seeing the title as bashing a company, but the title describes the situation my johnson grow light wasn't safe and it almost burnt my house down so I don't feel the title was bad you guys all seem more sympathetic to the company than my situation some even tried to shift the blame to something I might have done which is false, but like i said I didn't have the intent to bash the company so if a Moderator would like to alter the title I'm fine with that, I tried to edit it and it would not let me

What's the point of you even posting crap like this? Did someone piss in your cheerios and now your having a tough morning? You add nothing to the thread and are trying to start drama. Noone has any problem with kronickeeper, no one said anything wrong with his posts. How do you know the problem was even from the company? What if it was Ups or someone at growers lights who dropped the box causing this problem? The only issue I said was the title was a bit misleading with a blanket statement that's all.

yes and the fact it took 2 years to malfunction leads me to believe something happened in that 2 years - a more apt title would be "I broke my johnston grow light" imo

Like I said IN my original post I was only speaking from personal experience with MY unit, and I would still purchase from and recommend HLG as a company to other people even more so now than before based off the outstanding customer service I received from @Stephenj37826 In no way am I or was I trying to bash HLG I was trying to share a safety concern I thought thats what this community was for.
Poor China Box build quality aside, how would you rate the performance on that light?

You're funny man I didn't break the light, or do anything to cause the light to malfunction try again, and technically it was only a year and a half.

I've asked sunni to change the title, my intention wasn't to hurt anyones business but the title IMO was accurate the light wasn't safe i didn't say anything that wasn't factual, and I made it perfectly clear in my original post. So there was no way to misinterpret my intent.

We all make mistakes, which is normal for us humans, it adds to our knowledge database.
The man had an unpleasant incident that might have cost him dearly, he was emotionally driven when he made the thread, anger affects your thinking and makes you more prone to do mistakes, most of us will do exactly the same.

The company acted as expected and the customer is happy.

for your safety, install a smoke or fire detector in the grow room.

It seems some people who post here are overly defensive of their industry. Your post was a service to those who come here for information. You deserve no criticism and all the recognition for your effort to let people know about a problem you experienced. You were clear about your intent. The moist palmed weenies who are shrilly whining about the way you worded your post are forgetting that the customer is always the customer. You have every right to tell other customers what happened if you experienced a safety issue.

And who the fuck is @nc208 to tell you what to say?

Who the fuck are You? I never told anyone what to do or say, your clearly too retarded to see that. I pointed out how someone might misinterpret the title and it was a suggestion that others also felt was right. Everyone was fine with his post and nothing wrong with him informing of the situation. Are you really that dumb to not clearly see this?

denial is an interesting tactic. "I'm just pointing out blah blah blah".

Who the fuck am I? I'm just a person who is interested in growing and lurking to learn what I can.

The person he bought the equipment from said he'd handle the issue absolutely the right way and Kronik has been nothing if not cooperative. You had your say and then keep harping on the OP. Really, the best thing for you to do is to just drop it.

It's pretty clear that you have some vested interest in what's said here. Vendors or people who work for them should stay in their lane. We won't appreciate whomever your represent if we find out who you represent. It's not going to look good you hassling people who are only trying to inform others, which is the main reason people come here in the first place.
