So I just got the light I ordered in the mail the other day and I have to say I am very impressed with this light so far! and it came faster than I had expected.

JohnsonGrowLights.com CX-9 light (they have better]

9 top bin Cree CXA3070-3000k with a wattage draw of ~ 540watts (driver draw included]
938 PPF
632 PPFD in a 4x4 area
two switchs 5 cobs on and the 4 corner cobs on
Center cob runs a different angle of lens than the rest

4'X4'X7' Tent
only a 4" fan out for ventilation, no filter
ultrasonic humidifier at side vent intake

Temp goals are 80-82 during lights on. Humidity goals are 40-50% would prefer 50% but in my area it is hard to get the humidity up.

2 topped Brooklyn Mango's in rear of the tent and 3 Deathstar's in the front that are around 2 weeks younger. Not ideal but this is what I had to work with. Plants were started under 400w/600w MH lighting in another tent, I just moved them into this tent for this test run. I had planned to veg with this light but after turning the light on I was so impressed, I simply couldn't want to wait to see how this light does in flower. To my eyes this CX-9 looks brighter than a 600w hortilux in an og hood but ill let the plants decide if this thing is any good or not.

Plants are in 5gal hempy buckets. 7/1 perlite to vermiculite with a 2" grow rocks res at the bottom

I run a custom nute line that's mostly powders probably a lot different than most growers do. I use things like 95% Fulvic acid, AGsi, b-vitamins, pure kelp, whey protein, tricantinol, a MAG Supplement, a separate CAL supplement, a brix booster, 2 pk boosters and the normal GH 3-part flora, micro, grow, florilicious bloom, and florablend.

note: plants look lighter green in the pictures than they really are. Id say its the white light and the camera.

So I have been running with this CX-9 for 2 weeks now and I have to say I am very impressed with this light so far. The heat is one thing to mention there isn't much at all from this light, im recurculating the heat from a 600w in another area into the room the tent is in to keep the temp up lmfao. Very fast growth is another thing ive noticed, im not sure if the plants are going through the growth cycle faster or just growing more per day but I have seen more and faster growth than I normally do. Only thing I changed is adding the JohnsonGrowLights.com CX-9 light to the same everything else ive already been doing. If you look close you can see my reused perlite with about 5 runs on it lol.

day time temps have been 79-82
humidity has been lower than id like at times 32 up to 45%
This tent drinks 4gal feed per day for 20% runoff

Very impressive canopy. I am glad to see the COBs were not just a new gimmick and that are truly proving to be as good or better than HPS, after spending so much money...

I am interested to see how buds in the corner of your canopy are going to develop. I like the flexibility of spreading the cobs a bit more with modular fixture like a51s but I cant see much difference between the center of your canopy and the corners so far.

I'm super happy with this light! heat has been in my goal range but humidity dips low.
The spread is very nice, better than a blockbuster or an og hood. The corner nugs are getting big just like all others. Im impressed with the speed of the growth im seeing. Plants are starting to frost up early!

I use tap water, the water has changed again, so my cal-mag balance is slightly off.

Sorry pic took me a second to post. Yes it has fans in it, Puts off very little heat compared to what I normally run. I have a 4inch fan setup in there for ventilation but its on a temp controller so it doesn't run all the time, half the time id guess. I keep the temp near the canopy at 80-82f but am considering going to 82-84 next run based on leaf surface temps.

Way up 30-32in away is what's recommended in the 4x4. I tried to run it closer but they didn't like it. This thing puts out a lot of light! I'm thinking about picking up 2 of the CX-6 and running them with my CX-9 in the 4x8 Tent. Already listed the HPS and MH setups on craigslist they were always better heaters than grow lights anyways.
