I'll top dress em and only occasional watering when it hasn't rained in awhile and two teas, one when they get bigger in veg and one about 3/4 weeks into bloom.

hi joe, i notice that dead stem left in the pot with that seedling, about 14yrs ago i used to do that all the time, leaving dead stems & root masses in a pot while growing out other plants next to it, an experienced market gardener warned me that certain bad fungus problems may arise from this practice, i dismissed his view as BS cos i had been doing it for yrs...UNTIL...some weird fungal disease struck me, it is a form of root/stem rot that i cannot eradicate(im outdoors), in those yrs this fungal prob has claimed well over 10,000 beans, sometimes i still lose 75% of my grow, its costing me easily $3000 in antifungal mycorrhizae treatments per season alone, it is by far the worst plant disease syndrome ive ever encountered, this disease has cost me a fortune & a huge amount of effort to try to keep it under control, im considering moving away from my place JUST because of this disease

I was gonna leave one in the pot and transplant the other two into their own pots. I have only grown a plant once in the same pot as its mother and it did fine, but I'll take your advice and not allow it to become a habit. I can just as easily remove the stalk stump and roots and put them in the worm bin and recycle it that way.

That sucks that you can't get rid of it.

thanks joe, now you know why i have quite a few in my pollen chucks, cos many plants wont survive to maturity with this lousy disease, btw your haze looks the most sativa sativa ive ever seen, be interesting what she is like in maturity

Collected a small amount of pollen today from the raspberry cough and Jamaican Pearl males, think they still have about a week or so before all of them start popping their balls fully.

I put this purple haze clone near the window and left it alone aside from a mist every other day. Looks like she wants to live so as soon as I see new growth, she'll join her sister's and the Hindu kush clones. The chocolope clones both have roots, one has three long ones, she might be the new mother.

Raspberry Cough at 5 weeks

The bugs are having a meal of my outside ladies. Gotta figure out how to stop them and I also can't figure out how I'm going to transplant these two that are so close together. Think I might just cut the bottom of the bucket and let the roots grow into the raised bed.

Dont feel bad, my indoor seedlings were getting attacked!!! I had a scratch on my eye and I couldn't see for like 3 days. When I was able to see again, I had bugs in one room and white powder mildew in another! Flower room was unaffected, but I am not confident about it!!!

I definitely sympathize with you @MustangStudFarm. I'm battling mites and gnats indoors and what ever is munching on these ladies plus squirrels who seem to like the new plants outside. Hoping my lacewing larvae will be here this weekend. I'm also researching what plants attract ladybugs to help out too. When I put my hermaphrodite plant outside last month, I noticed a ladybug on it right as I was going to place it back inside so I know there out here.

what is your opinion of that strain joe?

First time growing it and I love it. She made it through horrible beginnings and is in competition with the bubblegum and og kush for the most trich production. I didn't get to clone her, but in two weeks I'll be germinating three more and I have male pollen to make some f2s. I don't want to reveg anymore unless I don't have any seeds of a strain left. @greencropper

theres some hidden gems in the nirvana & kc brains gear, years ago the ICE from nirvana was a great strain, yet ive heard lately its deteriorated in quality, i used kc brains haze special in some of the best crosses ive ever done over 10yrs ago, though i bought a pack of them 5yrs ago and none sprouted?

Joe,

The spider mite problem really should be dealt with as a priority 1 issue. They are extremely good at finding places to hide in your room and avoiding treatment so that in a few weeks they populate onto your plants again. Not only that they will migrate outside into your vegetables and into your neighbors yard which will infest your outside gardens repeatedly which puts you at risk of carrying one inside again. You need a multi pronged pesticide attack to cover any tolerances the mites may have. I used: No Pest Strips, Azatrol, pyrethrum fogger and also a tube of sticky stuff you put on the stems. Spider mites don't fly they can jump in the wind trailing web behind to climb back with if they don't hit another plant, but not actually fly. You need to also clean the rooms thoroughly I recommend bleach and to leave the wet bleach water on the areas you are cleaning for a little bit to penetrate shells, eggs and etc. Spider mites are soft shelled tiny insects so bleach will have them for lunch.

Any pest damage is just left over from the last small outbreak. I'm on a regular pest prevention schedule now, checking the plants daily. I have increased the amount of neem oil I mix and it works well. The new flower room will be clean and so will I everytime I enter it wearing my painter's suit and gloves. Thanks for all the advice and suggestions about the pest.

Hope they like the soil mix. They got a transplant tea using my harvested castings. All six clones have good root systems.

We'll know soon enough if they like it but my gut says they are going to go nuts that soil looks good enough to eat with crackers. Is that a little area you keep for transplanting? I gotta designate an area, I have the space but I just end up doing it where I have a bench then I have clean up duties so I need to build one out.
