Jerry's Winter Organic Garden

Nice I hope u can do that.. Breeding is all about selection not just chucking pollen if u trying to go that route. But all those crosses sound like winners so I'm sure you'll have many to select from.

So I brought down the Chemporer x Candy #1 last night and the Apollo 13 #2 this morning, at 61-62 days respectively. Both of these plants yielded considerably better than their already harvested sisters, but neither appears initially to be as frosted (not that they are lacking for trichomes though).

Here is the Chemporer x Candy #1. As I've repeatedly stated, she was the fastest and most vigorous grower, was the first to show sex, first to root when cloned, etc. As a result, I transplanted her into her flowering container about a week to 10 days earlier than I should have, allowing her to burn through the nutrients in the soil too quickly. So she finished substantially more yellow than I like to let my plants get, but doesn't seem to have suffered much, if at all, from it.

Next we have the Apollo 13 #2. Again, yield is considerably improved over her sister plant, but she just doesn't LOOK as potent as #1. It's obviously too early to say definitively, but I'm banking on #1 being slightly better than #2 (though #2 has the coveted [by me] baby poo smell...)

So that is 4 plants harvested, 9 to go. The Sour OG will probably be next, and I can't even begin to explain what I think of this plant based on the smell alone. Cleaning solution/kerosine/lemon pledge/FUEL all rolled into one! As a refresher, this is the plant I bred using a CC Sour OG female (my Sour OG #3 from about a year ago) and a triploid CC Sour OG Male from the same seed stock. I dare say the result is better than the original, and the original was pretty incredible.

After the Sour OG, the Sour D and Sour Hazy Jones #2 are getting close. Sour Hazy Jones #1 and the White Widow still appear to be another couple weeks off still.

Stay tuned for more this week :leaf:

Yeah I don't fancy myself to be anything more than a chucker right now, using the subcool breeding principle of Dank + Dank = Danker haha. One day though I plan to grow out a huge chunk of the best seeds, isolate genetically superior individuals, backcross, and get some stable, replicable strains (to share with the world!)

Oh man, so am I, so am I. Seriously, I think it's going to put a lot more fire back into The Game having both teams at their best. And in their respective places, of course (good/evil and all that... ).

Harvested the Dinafem White Widow last night @ 64 days. This plant is easily the most disappointing of the lot, but actually looks very similar to the image Dinafem uses. The buds are nice and solid, but they just aren't as trichome-laden as everything else I'm currently growing. They smell nice, and the scissor hash was fair, it just doesn't quite stack up to the chemporers or the apollos or the diesel or the sour og...I'll reserve final judgement until I cure it though...maybe it's the strongest of the plants...who knows...I'm pretty fucking high on some Sour Diesel I clipped a couple days ago!

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures until I was halfway through chopping down branches, but you get the idea of what it looks like.

Jerry Garcia.... It looks pretty smoke worthy to me.... Nice pics ....
.
WW has always had decent raw potency IMHO, but tends to lack flavor. Like you, I love Chem's, ECSD, & well done OG's.
.
There's an old cross Brothers Grimm did with WW, that was some of the best tasting WW, I ever smoked. It was called Sugar Blossoms. It's hard to find, but if memory serves me right, Joey Weed was working with it a few years ago, in a cross he did, called Sugar Berry.

Sorry for my prolonged delay in responding...have had much going on lately. The Sour D came down a few days ago, and produced easily the largest yield of the lot with 3 full 1 quart mason jars (which equates to roughly 3oz). Unfortunately, I completely spaced on taking pictures of her pre-harvest, but will get some trimmed and dried bud shots up soon.

I also brought down the first Sour Hazy Jones (#1) last night, right at about 10 weeks, and she produced a solid yield with very heavily trichomed buds! To give you a relative idea, I had to clean the scissors twice during trim and had damn near a 1g hash ball (which of course I smoked immediately). Very nice. I DID remember to get pics of her, so here they are!

So that leaves the other SHJ, 2 Chemporer x Candy #1 clones and the Sour Diesel clones as the remaining 4 plants in the tent. They all are close to harvest, but I'll be busy this week so it looks like Saturday night/Sunday morning (assuming they are ready).
