I haven't done one of these in quite a while, not sure if I have ever even done one here on RIU. You can follow along as I start this 4+/- month long journey. I know there are others who have this strain, and you are more then welcome to update and share your progress along with mine.

Anyone else that is coming for the ride, all feedback, comments, suggestions are welcome. Doesnt necessarily mean I will listen though! :) :P

Please try to keep this thread on topic for the most part and keep the discussion civil, this isnt the 38%er! Lol

Strain: Chem Soda Cookies F1 (Chem Soda F1 x GSC BX1/F2)

Breeder: Jaws Gear

Start Date: 3/6/15

I will be listing some info for this grow, all of which are only preliminary. I like to change directions some times, and listening to your input may persuade which way I am going. As of now, here are my thoughts:

Soil: Bush Doctor Coco Loco (this is some goooood shit for anyone that hasnt tried it yet)

Nutes: i wil either use Nectar for the Gods Advanced Formula or Techna Flora Recipe for Success (I have 2 flower cabs running right now, and I use NFTG in one and the Techna Flora in the other. I have had great succes with both, NFTG is definitely supperior but at a much greater expense)

Potter Size: I still havnt decided weather to go SOG with 1 gallon pots, or to top with an extra couple weeks of veg and go with smaller bushes in 3 gallon pots

Flower Cab size: I set up another cab for this grow. This will be in addition to my regular schedule, so I am keeping it small. 24" x 46"

Light: 400 watt cool tube using 6500k Solis Tek MH / 4000K Solis Tek MH / 2000K Solis Tek HPS / 10000K Solis Tek MH (finisher).... Or I may skip using the 6500 and start out with a 200 watt LED panel to keep nodes nice & tight. Im not sure yet, suggestions? I also have a spare 600 watt ballast laying around, but it might be overkill for the small space?

A nice care pack arrived in the mail on 3/2, inside was an nice shirt (no, seriously it is a good quality shirt!) along with some stickers (i will slap em on the wall in the grow, whenever I post pics it will be some more advertising for jaws :D ) and of course, the best part - BEANERS!!!

And just in case my m/f ratio isnt as good as I would like, or I decide to SoG orrrr if I just end up with some free space in the cab that I need to fill, what better to go with cookies??? MORE COOKIES!!!!!

Soooo I dropped a few strains that I was generously hooked up with from Boston Baked Beans, <cough-cough @greenghost420 cough>

5x Stardawg x Power Pie
5x Mendo Dawg x Flaming Cookies
Annnd 3x Flaming Cookies #6 F2 for good measure!

If I dont have room for them here, I will make room in one of my other cabs

girlscout cookies backcross pollen so should be sum dank, im yet to run any chem strains or crosses maybe this will be my first one chem is the parent of all the diesel strains right suppose to be good yielder also, so that should help out the girlscouts, I only ran forum cut and it was frosty, I never in my life started seeds in a cup of water a lot of people do, I guess to each there own, I know it works cause a lot of peeps do it, I like the jiffy pellets almost 99% rate

I like floating them, within 6-12 hours the most viable seeds typically sink. By 18 hours most seeds are sitting at the bottom of the cup. Thats when I will poke at the floaters and help them sink... In my experience, by that time if they are still floating they typically wont pop.... 24-36 hours the beans germ, and tap root is exposed... I then put the bean into a jiffy pellet....

With that said, I have 8 that sank and 2 floaters... I expect that i will see some tap roots by the morning

Germination Report (to b cont.)

After another 12 hours or so, the couple of stuburn floaters finally sank. It seems to ne taking a bit longer then usual. I think its environmental as temps hit into the 30s this weekend, so my boiler hasnt been running non stop. I moved the solo cups onto a heat mat on sunday.

7/10 have split and I am putting them into peet pellets and into a styrofoam egg carton and onto the heat mat. I will leave the other 3 to soak another 24 hours and then into the peet pellets.

Mendo dawg x Flaming cookies: 3/5

Star Dawg x Flaming Cookies: 5/5

Flaming Cookies: 1/3

only been maybe 60 hours since I put them in, so im not worried. Should have some more split by the morning

thats stardawg x power pie ;) that power pie dad was impressive. i am surprised by the lower rates on the cookie Xs.
Whoooops! Haha my bad bro... I just double checked & i did label the solo cups right, so all good!

Im really not worrying about it, im sure they will split. Its probably the cooler temps in my basement. 64* right now

***i just checked & another FC cracked!

Just a little update, so far 8/10 have broke ground. 2 or the 3 that had not split during the initial soak, still have not broke through yet. I am optimistic that they will pop up any day now <crosses fingers>

As you can see in the picture, I opted to put the seedlings into a small cab with a 75 watt UFO for germination to help keep temps up. I will put them into solo cups later, and then probably under a MH
