Mo really nailed it for me there.

Sorry NV, I was out in flesh-space handling issues. LOL

I found LA Con to make Giant Pagoda Buds....like Mo's but my pheno
made a larger, denser main cola.

SOG == Sea Of Green. This is just where you carpet the tent with containers
and let them fill space. (many small plants as opposed to a few larger ones)

It was fun to see my old thread wake up.

I will start dropping some shots. I find that my mac makes labelling images unnatural,
compared to my windows box. I have a ton of unlabelled images as a result.

FWIW, I went DNA-Crazy, wanting to run most of their line, and this includes a slew
of odd LA Con crosses...LA Woman, LA Chocolat, Cannadential, on and on.

So, keep it green folks!

Interesting:

I am going to run my RDWC rig again some time, but may use it for veggies
out back. I can learn the process better and the low freqs it made will not
bore into my head. :0)

Java,
I don't run RDWC, mine is a simple drip system, but I don't use air stones in my rez. I discovered that the stone may put diffused O2 into the water but it was also fucking with my pH something fierce and causing the rez temps to rise considerably.
To solve that I decided to try and create passive O2 diffusion. I recirculate from my lower rez to the upper rez (the rez I pump from to the plants), which has a stand pipe that drains back down to the lower rez.
20180224_102433.jpg
The return pipe is cut short, just below the rim of the lower rez. So as the solution is returned to the lower rez the DO in the water increases as it would, in say a waterfall.
20180224_102456.jpg
The upper rez is only replenished once during the drip cycles, so any pH fluctuation is minimum.
The recirculation starts at 9AM, when the lights go out, (at the same time I replenish the solution, every two to three days) and it runs till about 45 minutes before the come back on. This gives me time to do pH adjustment as needed. By mixing the solution/nutes early and letting them recirculate for 12 hrs, once pH'd it remains fairly stable throughout the drip cycles. There is no heat is generated this way.

I too would like to give RDWC a shot at some point.

Good morning Folks.

Seeing my old thread wake up inspired me to post progress on occasion.

I can report that Chaka Kahn is looking like a very fast finisher.

I just noticed that she looked mature....hair-wise...and so I scoped the trichs.
Yes, there are plenty of clears....there are already a few % amber too. Amazing,
as this plant is at Day 46.

She sure did well for herself...even after getting pushed to the corner as younger
and shorter females needed the center area....

She makes some fine looking nugs.....very frosty!

Have a great day all!

Thank you for taking the time GR. That is a provocative setup. ...and, yes, I have also
found that aeration can lead to temp rises. I will run that rig again, but might do tomatoes
out back. :0)

It sounds like your recycling does refresh the fluid pretty well too.

I am wondering what solutions people have for lifting plants in tents.

I have been using inverted 6" pots.....this is not a perfect solution. I imagine
cubes of sealed foam....with a durable/washable plastic surface....or wood blocks
but that might get expensive.

LOL, I suppose that getting a 10X2 and cutting 10" lengths might result in
something useful. But I would need a huge number of them....40-50 I guess.

We will see, but if I am not thinking of the best answer....some products have
containers that would be perfect....then please feel free to comment.

P.S. I have now found, on a couple of occasions, that I am getting one or two
nads on. .....and these seem to be nads that are developing rather late in the
cycle.

Check this out:

C'mon! LOL

Now, I have still only had one tent really get seeded....these individual balls or the singular
nanner do not do that.....and this ball caused no serious issues. (sterile maybe)

Hey JD, for the plant lifts I use 2x4 end cuts from when I built the room. Had a bunch of left over pieces around 10-12" long. They work well, I have a couple that I used on ends, then used some old 1/2 plywood off-cuts for a platform. I also bought a few foldable stools that are ~9" high, just waited for them to be on sale for like $4. Dollar store is not a bad option to Maguiver some.

Late nanners suck :( Glad it didn't do any damage...

You might see that I made a thread to ask about Hemlock.

Other than Sour Cherry (and (was it?) "Rebar") I am not sure what he has done,
but SC is fairly unusual. I am sure that he would be working something else interesting.

Rebar is from Mohican I believe JD.

Wup! Cannot be giving Mo's credit away! LOL. Thanks Bob.

BHB, I always seem to have at least one "stretch rocket" in each tent at
any given time. The super tall plants keep the lights where they are.

I am running plants I mostly do not know, perpetually, in a 5X5 array of
small 6.5 Liter pots.....I am not able to give them the attention they really
deserve. But I am getting an accurate impression of each and am getting
more than yield enough to well sample each plant grown out for strength
and flavor.

I can report that my new Tangie was not nearly as well flavored as ones
I have grown out before. I will pop another of those if I have it

I also can report that Sour Secret, from DNA, really delivered the flavor,
but, as an LA Con cross, I rather expected something flavorful.

I have grow out Shit twice and have popped #3....still looking there.

I am starting to flip a series of very interesting DNA offerings. I am running
most of their line now. :0). I found Tangilope to be incredible years ago
and it is time to research this area more....Cannalope Kush, Chocolope Kush,
Cannalope Haze, Cannadential, etc.

More to follow.

JD

P.S. I should add some eye candy....this is GSC from CC:

If I had 1 plant that was stretching past the rest , I’d either scorg them down or pinch the runner , and even canopy will always yeild more then an unkept one.

Full Agreement.

I am in something of an odd holding pattern while I test new beans. I do not mind
the extra effort of lifting plants. I am just running out of the 6" pots that I use to do it. :0)

I used to get them frequentlyon my Dog but they NEVER pollinated once:
You can see the spent male flower directly above a fe-male pre-flower and no seeds anywhere.

Looking forward to seeing your cookies come ready. Not too many around and i think this is the first Cali connection GSC Post that does'nt have any negative talk about hermies ect... Infact it looks freaking awsome !!

Ive only grew it out once myself with the tools being down, but im looking to do an Epic run and see what she can really do. The guy thats been holding the cut is'nt the best grower and i think when done right this will be special. One of the few plants that ive seen look/smell/taste differently from grow to grow.
