Javadog's Next Adventure

It is quiet here...the calm before the storm...I am working
with the wife to deal with finances while I get started at the
new position. I am already attending meetings, but officially
start Monday.

I took down the dinky Grandaddy Purps and put a very strong
Aliendog (ether cut) Clonly into its place.

The GDP only got 8 weeks, but it was the last of the plants that
I hammered somehow at the end of their Vegging....a preventative
spray IIRC.

All the plants in the tent are strong examples of their breeds now.

The Triple OG Kush (XXX) is really amazing....It did not stretch much
at all, so it was looking to be small, but I spread it out and every bud
along the branches seems to be swelling to the point of being spherical.
Serious density...

Here are some shots....

Blackwater (beautiful structure...need to get its buds bigger....):

Plushberry (looks to be very frosty):

Purple Haze is going out of the light, but the stretch does seem over:

Dubtech 7:

Wet Dream is an interesting breed, but it looks like my clone failed, and
this one might be lost:

I am going to try to post some good shots while I can....it is very likely
that I will be posting mainly on the weekends again before too long here.

Take care all,

JD

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you "Jack The Cleaner":
Jack The Cleaner.JPG

LOL, only two so far, but I forgot to harvest the inoculated branches
separately when I took my Jack's Cleaner 2 (hit it with Jack The Ripper pollen)
so I am having to pinch the buds before I smoke them. Doh! :0)

If I ever get on top of things, then I will get a 3'X3' males-tent.

Looking really great in there! I am with you on the finances right now. Hell we are still catching up after the move and shit. I hope it gets better for both of our families and soon!

Thanks BW.

I am working at the new job and things are proceeding as expected.

I have been trying to absorb some new data, from the San Diego group
over at ICMag.

It seems that I might have gotten some "dud" clones.

The Dud phenomenon is very interesting. It is caused by the toxin of
the Broad Mite. The idea is that once a plant is "poisoned", it stays
that way, and all future cuts are affected.

Now, this effect cannot spread, other than through cuts.

Also, using pollen on a dud plant will revive its goodness. There is
not genetic damage involved.

The locals were very direct in calling this out when I posted my plants.

I tried to be appreciative, but I was, honestly, shocked for my babies,
but I did make a point of making my appreciation for their having taken
the time known.

...and the weird thing is that they are insisting that my Blackwater
is showing the signs. Well, it grew with serious strength and vigor,
but it is not to frosty and (they pointed out) the larger fan leaves are
kinda smallish.

I am going to let the smoke tell the tale.

Any plant that retains this cloud over it will be used to make seeds.

Take care all,

JD

Good Morning all. A wee hour W&B for me, tho I am starting
small and slow.

I have to report that my Dinafem Cheese is hardly a keeper.

I let it mature, fully, and the nugs are large, dense, and coated
with crystals. There is zero to not recommend it. It is just not
strong enough and has zero flavor. (I thought that "Cheese"
was practically a synonym for a particular type is stink)

The "Dud Phenomenon" is an on-going controversy, but I will
let the nugs speak for themselves. I had already thought that
some of the Clone-Onlys that I had gotten were ridiculously
difficult in Veg, that they crept along ducking at nutrients.
If they are not frosty beyond belief then out they go.

I will say that the Blackwater certainly showed more than
enough vigor to make me think that it is OK. We will see.

Have a great day all!

Sucks about the cheese. Mine wasn't strong enough for my taste either. I've got the mom flowering out because it had a nice smell and flavor but well you know.... Lol.

Hey,

I was checking the tent this morning and I saw
Old Timer's Haze:

Ruh Roh!

This baby is going to be another 20 week* wonder
and such a stretch rocket that I picked up the mother:
IMG_4124.JPG
and put her into the (recently) darkened tent. Right
on the floor. I will give her a pedestal tonight at lights
on, but I cannot hold off on starting her flowering. She
may stretch so much that a smaller pot, right on the ground
sound like wise precautions.

This is a breed that I could not put off doing, but I have
to be honest that it is not at all easy to deal with one of
these long runners. The Purple Haze is past 12 weeks
and will be shown later.

Take care all,

JD

The Purple Haze has a branch that just keeps going:
Ace Purple Haze 1.JPG

It is my understanding that chopping them at this point would
stunt budding, so I am kinda ignoring them, but watching for
balls.

I am also finding that upper tops are way behind lower tops.
The uppers are right up under the lights....they might be heat
stressed. (likely are) Not much I can do.

Up:

Down:
Ace Purple Haze 2.JPG

It finishes Week #12 on Tuesday. Amazing.

It may start to build up buds in the next month or so, but, at this
point, it really is looking like a full 20 weeks.

That's five months folks. :0)

Yeah, I pinched it all over the place while it was finishing
veg and got into the tent and continuously while it flowered
and began to stretch. The main stretch was finished for the
most part, and I had mainly made it, but then this one top
kept going.

I am going to just ignore it for now, but may topple it over, if
only to be able to better keep an eye on it.

Take care,

JD
