I don't really have a better answer than... I've been afraid of heat and bleaching =P

Wouldn't that be way to close? these things are B-R-I-G-H-T!!!!

well either light meter or plants can tell you.. If it gets the area bright, ant plants are vigorous and not stretchy, I'd say just keep it that way. When I got new light I raised that all the way up in my room(3' from ground). I like that this way I may get weaker light, but it covers better the area. If I lower the light, most of the light stays at the top

Yeah man I would def lower it to about 18" and then see how it effects the girls then keep lowring it lol. It will positively effect them I promise!

You check them often enough that if they start to bleach it wouldn't be very much. I'd say lower them just to see. But then again, it can't hurt to leave them up high. :)

On a different note, I just got a kitten. Like an hour ago some lady we passed walking down the street with a kitten saw where we drove home to, she walked over to our fence, tossed the kitty in our yard and took off. Was not really ready for this, but too late. :/

I saw the picture! It's very cute! And you being a cat man, I'm sure he'll be in great hands! Got a name yet?

I lowered the lights to 18'' and the plants seem to love it! =)

Growth is getting very vigorous, and as so I've decided to flip them now before it gets out of hand. I'm still testing waters on the whole mainlining thingy so better safe than sorry. This has been the longest Veg I've had so far anyway, so go figure =P

Anyway, here are the plants right before watering.

Fingers crossed for ladies!

So a few days ago I had the confirmation of my fear. The bigger, more vigorous plant showed some amazing sets of BALLS =( SAAAD FAAAACE =(

Take a look at the beautiful frame it had

Oh well, such is life. Next time I shall use Nugbuckets' technique of early sexing before the training and veg.

For now, I'll focus on my nice looking Cheese plant. And let it blast off.

RIght now I came on vacation and my girlfriend stayed behind looking after it. SO i'll post an update in about 2 weeks.

By then we should have a very bushy business going on! =D

Take care people!

I AM BAAAAACK!

Wohoooo.

It is positively the best feeling ever, when you go on vacation for 3 weeks, when you left this behind...
20.jpg

Then you open the tent, and you now have this...
21.jpg

Let's just say I'm a VERY happy dude right now. My sweetheart sure treated her right.

Also, temps are looking better, and the smell is starting to become LOVELY DANK.

Spent some time grooming it and re-arranging. And now it looks like this...
22.jpg

I've just turned the 4th and final COB light on, and the temps maintain at a nice 28ºC, so now I just want these lovely buds to swell and pack as much as they possibly can!

It feels nice to be back.

Things are looking good.

23.jpg 24.jpg

Nugs are slowly expanding, and getting heavier. Which in turn bends the stems further outward exposing the smaller buds in the middle. It's quite the smart layout. Thank you Mr. Nuggbuckets!

The lower leaves where already like that when I got back from my vacation. I diagnosed it to be a Mg deficiency, and upped the dose. So far no more yellowing has occured, so I hope I fixed it well.

The buds on the 2nd node from the top are starting to bulk up, and pretty soon I imagine they'll "fuse" into the top most ones. Making for long dense flowers. At least I'm hoping.

So far so good. I'm just happy my DIY COB LED projectors are working so nicely.

Can't wait for the yield weighing day!

looking good man! I sense you'' have some fine harvest... First thing when I saw your pic wanted to ask what are you feeding to supplement mg
to me this stage is so annoying, on daily basis it feels like nothing's happening, I have to keep comparing to a week ago pics :D

Sensi Cal Mag Bloom is what I've been using. I just had to up the dose.

And I feel you on the development speed =P But it's more about the filling now than anything. You'll notice it more if you FEEL your way through it. Take a feeler on the buds every 2 days, and perhaps you'll notice how much they dense up =)

Some more pics...

The pistils are starting to recede now, and pretty soon I'll be able to start flushing them out, and in no time I'll be harvesting.

30.jpg

Take a look at this bud vortex haha it looks like there's more buds every time I go in there =P
31.jpg 32.jpg

I haven't smoked a nice flower in quite some time now... I can hardly wait for these. The smell is amazing.

Nothing like cheese though, more like fruity.

I love the shot looking strait down into the vortex. :) Looks pretty amazing man. Are the buds pretty dense? They look great. How many watts are the lights you are running?

Great job.

Practice does indeed make perfect.

I'm not saying this is anywhere near perfect, but I'm getting closer.
To think that 2 years ago I was growing 9g of airy weed... haha I've been loving this ride. It's wonderful to have a tent full of great looking nugs. Kinda makes you feel a little like the Pros =P

These nugs are the most dense I've ever grown. Also the biggest. Next time I take pics I'll hold a Clipper lighter next to them for sizing.

This also proves the LED scene is indeed in full force, and that my DIY thingies work very nicely.
Right now, the whole setup drains ~352W at the wall (fans and all). And in a rough electrical estimate, every fixture is producing ~55W of actual light. So 4x55 is around 220W of light.
I'll measure these once the grow's over and I'll give you more correct readings.

SO

I'll be harvesting in about 2 weeks time. The buds are still throwing some last white pistils all around, but overall the plant is starting to get amber trichomes. SO it's about time. I will start flushing today.

Here it is =)

I'm stoked.
