Photo update time.

I'm bummed. My PH pen is dead. I even bought extra ph calibration packets, but the pen won't even calibrate up to 7... Bleh, I'll have to buy a new one.
SO for now they are getting un-PH'd water. Which is kinda scary for me, but I have my fingers crossed.

The girls are coming around nicely. They drink like mad. And I can't wait to start seeing sugar frostings all over.

But the Amnesia Lemon is still a little bit on the disappointing side. The pistils are there, but in much less quantity than the other. Also the pistils and calyxes are tiny and fragile looking. I'm curious to see what kind of buds come from this.

This is the end of week 2 since first pistils. One more week to stop the stretch phase. Can't wait to see if these phenos will bulk up or not.

Don't judge on pistils just yet. It might explode later. Personally for me amnesia look even better. Devil's stack top fans are clawing a bit.
Man your pics are so yellow you could barely see green in it Is it cause of 2000K lamp color? Cause if I set white balance to "Tungsten light(3200K) on my cam I can barely see yellow in my CMH(3000K) lit room

Thanks I've also noticed the claws, but it's strange because they are only happening at the top. The rest of the plant looks pretty lush.
And yeah I normally ballance my whites when I change my bulbs, but I've been running around and have just been taking photos with whatever setting I have on the camera. I'll be more patient and careful next time haha

I have one of those kits... But how do you guys use it effectively with nuted water?? I stopped using the chemical PH test because I thought the redness of my nutes would change the test results rendering them ineffective...

Do you have a method? What do you recommend?

Also, the LED panel won't be for soon... I don't have access to cheap enough components where I live, and the guy who was building my panel has run into a few problems. So I guess I'll just wait until circumstances change a bit.

Also why is your light vertical instead of horizontal?

Let's do another update.

Did a little branch rearranging and now all the main bud-sites are in clear view of the Lamp God.

The tops of my plants are showing some clawing and I'm pretty sure it's a little N toxicity coupled with PH imbalance. I'm changing the nutes to eliminate N for the next few waterings so as to see if they bounce back a little more.

Other than that they look healthy and the stretch looks like it's finally slowing down. I really hope they explode and get into some serious nug production now =P



Right now it doesn't look nearly as nice as my ScrOG did last time around, but I'm still hopeful. At least the system works.

Vertical makes for more efficient surface area for light absorption. If you look at the latest pictures you can clearly see that the bud-sites are very equidistant from the light source. This helps make it so that all the buds develop at roughly the same rate.

Makes for more uniform harvests. And I'd guess denser too. I'm crossing my fingers for low pop-corn-bud-syndrome. xD

Dude, the ph solution test kit works just fine with the nutes...I don't remember if you are using RO water or not? Your not in soil so the water ph in your hybrid system could be fluctuating too much? How quickly are they draining the res?

Drain in less than 2 days. And yes, the PH IS fluctuating...

Yeah, so you might have to treat it like an actual hydro system where you top it off with a little lower ph to compensate for the water increasing in the res. I love the way the vertical looks but dang it, you need to have a birthday or something and get a bigger light!

I can't wait for the time where I'll be able to have at least a 600... Or equivalent LED.

well I wouldn't bet all-in on vertical. Surely it has benefits as artificial light is not jumping around the plant daily like sun does and covering more surface with light is the way to go. But that should not eliminate popcorn buds at lower part of a plant due to the way auxins get distributed. Priority goes to top shoots. So lower buds are not filling in as good only partially due to lack of light. Although if you manage to maintain healthy plant till chop day you can do partial harvest leaving popcorn buds to fill in. It always surprises me how plant reacts to it and unleashes new wave of pistils

Those two will really fill in way better before it is all over Jad.

Yeah, I'm treating them with love and care, as I always do.

Seeing as they are only on the 3rd week of flowering, I still have hope for nice results.

Here comes a little photo-update

SO things are not changing dramatically, but I do feel them packing in. The flowers on the Devil'Stack are getting bigger by the day and are now starting to cover with resin.
The Amnesia is still a bit behind, but Pistil production is now getting to full blast. Still very minor signs of resin though.

Now we play the waiting game.

Looks like they are coming along nicely. I have a couple seeds that I wanted to try running 12/12 from the begininng. Hope you get a quality yield.

They look promising. I'd LOVE to get 15g from each. But I may be overestimating by a lot. (I'm an optimist kind of guy =P)

Anyway, I defoliated quite a bit today. Removed only the stuff that was causing some on any budsite. Lot's new growth showing to the light. Everything is much more air-flow-&-light-friendly now. xD

I'll take some more pics once things speed up.

And yes, so far, I have no negatives to point to the 12/12 fs regimen. Perhaps I will have.... on yield weighting day xD

You have one of those portable vapes right? I have a knock off volcano and I about threw it out the window last night because it isn't working right. I also have a nasty cough right now so I can't smoke.

Have any recomendations. Do you like yours?
