ive seen one grow with jacks and "caps" bennies and the veg was horrid deficient and the flower was eh, all RDWC... i think there are much better products for a good price after what i saw i wouldnt use jacks...

Was it Jack's classic or Jack's professional hydroponics? I'm assuming because the results were horrid that he was using Jack's classic in DWC which is no good.
It's also possible (recommended?) to use some mono potassium phosphate along with Jack's hydro and calcium nitrate during mid-late flowering.

Has anyone used MasterBlend Nutrients (said to be better than Jacks)from Hydro-gardens. Please share your recommendation for dwc (Clay pebbles as medium).
I have these fertilizers to work with : (hydroponic)
Chem-Gro Pepper and Herb formula 11-11-40
Chem-Gro Strawberry formula 8-12-32
Chem-Gro Cucumber Formula 8-16-36
Chem-Gro Tomato Formula 4-18-38
CaNO3 - Calcium Nitrate 15.5-0-0
MGS04- 9.8 mg
Can Tap water be used or are these formulas formulated for RO?
What is recommended dosage for:
Seedling?
Vegetative?
Flower?
I appreciate any information as I am new to this. I will share my experiences if I can only get some help starting this off. Please take the time to help educate me so I can pass it on.

I have no experience with that brand, but judging by the NPK ratings (I can tell they're low in urea and ammonium just by the high levels of potassium) and the fact that you've got calcium nitrate, I'm willing to bet any of those formulas mixed with calcium nitrate will work very well in DWC.

I have a DWC 5 gallon bucket with clay pebbles with 2 large airstones- PPM were about 800-900 after I mixed them. (Fertilizer + Epson Salt) then I add the CaN03.
This was the ratio I used:
Started with Filtered water (5 gallons) ph'd down to 7.0
12g Chem-Gro Tomato Formula 4-18-38 -till dissolved
6g Epson Salt
12g CaN03

Great comparison. I think these 2 part dry formulas like Jack's hydroponic, Masterblend, Cropking hydro-gro, where one part is calcium nitrate is where it's at. Anyone with a large scale operation should eventually ditch liquid nutes for dry salts, whether it's making their own mix or picking one of these 2 parts and supplementing with mono potassium phosphate KH2PO4 and MgSO4.

can someone using the jacks pro hydro/ calnit combo give me some numbers. id greatly appreciate the help
when using the 1/.66 ratio that is commonly used with this mix, how much of each nee i add to obtain X ppm. i know there is a formula floating around.
ill be filling a 100 gal rez and looking to hit 7-900 ppms without wasting time experimenting in a 5 gal bucket to get the universal formula

I am also looking for a feeding chart for Jack's - I also got the Bloom Booster.

from wat i Understood.. USe 3-2-1 formula with Jacks hydroponics base /calcium nitrate for upto 700ppm then add Blossom booster in flowering major weeks such as 2 and 3 and 5,6 when u need more ppm add blossom booster with the same ratio of 3-2-1 to top up the ppm upto 1300

Imho, unless your edwardy van halen and have no clue what a teaspoon is ......measurments need to be adhered to is all. Ive got a couple grows under my belt....anytime i screwed up stuff its usually because i was NOT paying attention to what i was doing and put more than normal doses......
I am super happy they have so many options for us all to choose from.
