target 12oz's of high quality bud off 4 plants 18" high

strain and training

4 healthy northern light clones, vegged for 5 weeks, topped once, LST couple of times and removed a few fan leaves, flowered at 10" high
as the plants grow I will pull the shoots down and tie them round the out side of a tomato cage so the will stay between 15"- 20" and fill the space

room set up

selectioned off a space 1m (L)x 1m (w) x 34"(h)

looks like a m2 square play pen covered in Mylar with a swamp cooler blowing cool air down over the canopy as it keeps the humidity 50-60 and drops the temperate a little also have a 6" ducting blowing cool air under the canopy
light and filter

8" rhino carbon filter, 8"ruck fan and a 5" silver star air cooled hood with a 600w hps bulb, Lumatek 600w Dimmable Ballast

so it pulls air through the filter -> fan -> hood -> then straight out the room

by doing this I can drop the hood 14" above the canopy as I only have a 1m2 room and it stays between 20c-30c
soil
plagron royalty mix soil

its a good soil imo but its very hot so after I re-pot a 2ltr pot into a 14ltr bucket I will not feed the plant for 3-4 weeks

the roots will grow as the plant run out of food, so in 3-4 weeks time there should be a large root mass and I will start feeding the plants
nutes
bio buzz fish mix,bloom and Epson salt

always add 1 tbsp Epsom salt (per 10 ltrs) 7 days and 28 days after flowering 12/12

1ml of fish mix and 2 ml of bloom for the first week I start feeding the plants and second week go up to 1ml grow and 3ml-4ml of boom,

a week before harvest I like to give the plant plain water so the plant uses any food up


my last grow was in larger room and I pulled a lot of bud, but this time I want to grow larger cola's want to aim for 10" long and 3" think

the leaves went a little yellow as I like my plants to be hungry when I re pot, I believe it speeds the root growth up. re potted my plants a few days ago and turned them to flower on the 14/08

there looking good and the plants are filling the room out, in the next couple of days I will pull the shoots down again and this should fill the room, as the plant carries on growing I will tie the shoots round the out side of the cages, then it time to site back and watch the cola's grow

The last couple of days the plant has grow a lot and there starting to grow white pistils so the stretch should start to slow down now
The plants are 14" high, canopy not too thick and there a good airflow, shoots are growing thick and green so I could be on a winner here,
they should still grow a few more inches so the cage will support the buds in late flower

3 days later and plants are growing fast, just over 16" high and there 9 days in flower (12/12)

11 days in flower and the plants are now 18" tall, just hope they slow down soon







but thing are going well, the plants are really healthy and the 600w hps is siting 12" above the canopy

the temp is between 22c and 30c for the last few days and the humidity has been between 45-60 so the plants are loving it

some of the fan leaves are getting a little in color so I will start feeding the plants next water

14 days into flower (12/12) and the plants have stretched to 20" high, there's about 15 main shoots with space to breath, each shoot is getting a good amount of light and airflow so the buds can grow to a large size

the last thing I want at this stage is a thick canopy as it reduces the light penetration and airflow into the canopy and will result in a lot of small buds and loads of airy crappy buds

at this stage my canopy looks really good and just the way I would like every crop to grow, just hope it don't stretch any more lol

watering the plants 10ltrs of water every 3 days

Had another look at my plants, trying to work a way of not lifting the light as canopy is 10" off the center and then realised there 4 plants so I could rotate all 4 plants and I would end up with all the tall shoots round the outside and all the shortest ones in the middle, so I end up with a kind of stadium grow worked really well, lights now 14" off the canopy directly below the hood

The canopy should still strech in the next few days so I could end with a few more main shoots in the cente of the room

day 15 after the plants have settle from being moved and pulled down in places








the shoots are even more evenly spaced and some of the buds are 1" long

tallest main shoots are 24" high, I was a little surprised how much the plants stretch when you give the plants more light per m2 and keep the humidity high 50-60

The canopy had a lot of main shoots about 24" high, well spaced so the a lot of side shoots have started to grow and got the space and light they need, most of them are between 18-20" high with good amount of bud growth

today I got round to potting up my clones, should be ready to top in about 2 weeks

I got them from wilko.com but they only sell it in spring and early summer
should be able to pic some up on ebay

update 25 day in flower 12/12






some of the fan leaves are getting a little yellow so I will increase the grow nutes to 2ml per ltr and add a tsp of Epson salt (just a one off as its so easy to over do it lol)



keeping the clones green and healthy makes a really big difference, 5 days in veg

your garden is filling out nicely. you listed your nutes above. is that really all youre feeding them? they look lovely man good work. i found some grids on walmarts website 6 bucks each. but your cages are perfect for 7 gallon pots. i just put a qrazy train in a 3x3 scrog.

all I feed my plants is bio bloom/ grow and epson salts

And with the soil I use 50% of the old soil mix with the new soil

Alway try and keep my costs to min and still get some good results

Love doing scrog, you should pull a good yeild

day 28 12/12
there still looking good but the leaves are still a little light in color, given them 2ml grow,3ml bloom per ltr yesterday and a little Epson salts
so they should improve in the next couple of days

9 days into veg and my plants are flying

i like the simplicity and efficency of your grow. im always worried about bugs so i throw my soil away(sunshine4). i just put one of my leds on a mover and cleaned the room last night, so ill put pics in my journal. im using cutting edge 3 part.
