so my buds were way too dry so I added some damp cotton balls went and stayed at my girlfriend house for two days got back home and my buds had some white fuzz on them so got my scope out and there are little white balls in the bud which I presume are mould spores I first thought the white fuzz was from the cotton balls

Would letting buds dry out a bit kill the spores with a fan blowing gently on them? Or is the only thing I can do is canna butter thanks.

Of course it is entirely up to you.. You could dry it.. have a look , a smell and make your decision..
Personally I would use it for cannabutter.. but I've got a big ass stash!!

I'm hyper paranoid about mold and smoking and have been doing a lot of research on the matter. I've gone as far as looking into how medical bud is tested.

This artice is kinda dumb, but it has some decent info. https://mmjdoctoronline.com/health-news/testing-medical-marijuana-for-mold-bacteria-and-other-organic-toxins---part-4
I've recently washed some buds I took off a plant two weeks ago using a H2o2 solution. 1/3 cup of 3% H2o2 per gallon of water. After drying I used my loupe to check for mold or PM and found non. The trichomes still have their bulbs in tact. I'm thinking of washing my whole harvest. Some people might think I'm nuts, but some swear by it.

It's not just the mold I'm worried about either. Dust bugs, bacteria, microorganisms as well. I was nervous to do so but I'm probably gonna just wash it all. At first I was like, shit these things are soaked! After an hour they didn't feel wet after sitting in front of a fan. After a week of curing I've smoked some here and there and while it still has that fresh green taste it is smooth.

You cure first then dry when doing the wash method correct?
