It stinks and it's outside drying in the freezing cold shed

A dealer sent me the wrong seeds as part of my last seed order and I unknowingly grew a super smelly diesel. It smells so fucking strong that I can't dry it in the house with the rest of my weed so I hung it out in the shed last night. It had just been cut so it was still very wet and last night it was about 20 degrees in the shed.

Did I ruin these buds?

I think he's worried about the buds getting ruined by the cold. I am not sure how that would affect the quality, but I would think it would take a lot longer to dry that way.

In freezing temps the Trichs will snap off & fall away from the bud making it less potent. Bring it in if you can.

Thanks,
It was just one plant and I've brought it back inside. It seemed a little soggy at first, but it's pretty much back to how it would have been had it not gone outside. I'll keep in front of a fan that's vented outside until it's dry enough to jar it. I hate the smell/taste of this stuff and will probably have this in a jar until the day I die.

Nothing I've grown so far has smelled anything like this and it immediately permeated the house as soon as it came out of the grow cabinet. I freaked and tossed it outside before being able to get an answer about the cold fucking it up.

And no, it didn't turn purple. Looks exactly the same as before.

^^ yup! Get a few Febreeze pucks and put em behind a blowing fan. I asked that same exact question a few months ago, with no response.
