Having an Auto Immune disorder that has impacted every aspect of my life for nearly 2 decades, I can say with full confidence that full spectrum cannabis and cannabis concentrates have greatly improved my quality of life.

As some of you already know, I recently had to quit my job due to my disease and the necessity to replace both of my hips at the tender age of 34.

That being said, my cannabis consumption has increased significantly throughout the day.

Sourced from checking vitals at each doc visit since my last surgical procedure.....

I've gained 15 solid pounds of healthy body weight .
(I lost 80+ lbs in less than a year after being placed on a Biological Medicine)

My blood pressure has now normalized, and I consistently test around 117/ 78.

For a full year, my BP was much too high after being placed on the Bio meds..

Would test around 180/87
sometimes higher.

Oh, just to be clear, Biological Medications such as Enbrel, Humira, Xelgans,
Methotrexate etc...
Basically turn off the body's immune system.

This causes a myriad of extremely dangerous side-effects, for example..
A simple case of Athlete's Foot could turn into something as serious as Gangrene.
Lymphoma and/or other Cancers are a side effect.

I'm nearly sure one of these days, we'll start seeing the lawsuit commercials...

I only hope I'm still alive when it happens.

With Lymphoma being a side effect from this medicine, regular blood-work is necessary to monitor Lymph count, C-Reactive Proteins, White and red blood cells.

ALL of these numbers^ continued to elevate at each test.

Now that I'm at home and able to consume cannabis all day long, these numbers are now declining into a more comfortable level.

I keep track of my own blood work intentionally so I can monitor these counts, and try to coincide with what day I took my Bio meds..

Biological medications are typically administered subcutaneously(needle injection into the thigh or stomach, not directly into the bloodstream like an IV)
Every 14 days.

The dates of the blood work are key here.

With more cannabis being consumed, I'm walking proof that cannabis works in a miraculous fashion, and that magic lies within the balance of the 80+ cannabinoids intertwined with each strain's Terpene profile.

Pure isolated cannabinoids unfortunately will never work as well without their counterparts.

So, the latest blood test, about a week ago..

Lymph count is slowly declining.

White blood cells, normalized and Red blood cells increased...

C-Reactive proteins, normalized.

To top this off, my surgeon and his PA , are both astonished about how quickly these numbers stabilized after a fairly tough surgery.

So, just yesterday, I had an appointment to access the new hip and schedule for the other side.

I was completely honest with him from the beginning in regards to cannabis treatment.

My ” Summary of the Visit” always lists my meds and comments..

”Medical Marijuana: continue use daily”

To close this long long long post...

CBD is an amazing component of the cannabis plant, perhaps the” Miracle Drug” the world has sought out for thousands of years.

But, it IS a component and incomplete without it's family of other cannabinoids and Terpenes.

Thanks to all that have posted, great thread Chewy!!

Your DMARD regimen sounds like my previous one, with prednisone and Celebrex thrown in for good measure, and don't forget the opiates for bad pain days. I feel for ya...it's a life I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

I'm thankful I found answers for my AI disease, and have been 100% med free the last 3 years, after a decade off and on a bevy of meds.

Hey SD I had no idea you were 34 years old and having those medical issues. Shit man that is rough stuff. I feel your pain man and thank you for sharing your story with us.

I have read now a lot over the past couple days about med users saying how important the full spectrum is with the thc's, cbd's, cbn's etc..Like others have said why screw with nature when something is working so wonderfully.

Big Pharma's medicine can be total poison. I wish the evil will end in the future but in reality I don't think it will. Money will feed that evil and evil will thrive on it.

Let's hope that our future generations grow with knowledge about the truth of what is going on with our governments, the FDA and Big Pharma.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about the medical qualities of this amazing plant. It's taken care of me and my family for a very long time now and I hope to give back to people in need of this medicine in any way I can.

Great thread guys keep the info coming!

See CBD on the right? Cannabidiol has 3 fractions held between 1C increments at 66C,106C, and 119C. You need a fractionating column to perform the separation on a tight temperature control w out fluctuations as the VWR can perform. Those are your melting points son. Happy fractionating!

Why would you want such a isolated fraction of cbd? It's the highly purified red oil thats got the main psychoactive properties which were located on the left. These were derivatives of C5H11 aka methyl pentane. Red oil is what's further worked w, not yellow...decarboxylated,and isomerized w sulphuric acid and then neutralized w sodium bicarbonate to increase potency supposedly 10 fold in exchange for about half yield is what's rumored. I do believe it and at that point it's a step away from recrystallization and called CANNABINOL. Pot most freakishly potent, has effects of coma- stati and this has been confirmed from reliable sources across the board who knew. Focus areas in the right direction, but sometimes it's hard convincing people by the masses. BulletinNYAMchart8.jpg

bulletin 1942 CANNABINOL academy research from reefermadness.org
It was the first human study done in the US from a voluntary prison population who gave testimonials of their trips. It's quite informative and will boost anyones knowledge on where these desired compounds of interest really are.

Another strain in Colorado high in CBD is 'R4', tests at >18% CBD, and less than 1% THC. I have a patient with permanent spinal compression, and normally has no feeling in his butt nor legs. Traditional medicine offers no relief. He found some relief through smoking pot, but can't tolerate the THC dizziness. I made him some QWISO extract from R4, and made a vaping solution with PG. 3-4 hits and he gets all the feeling back in his legs and he can walk normally. W/o medical marijuana there is no alternative.

I'm wondering if this is possible? How could we extract the CBD solely from say a plant like Charlotte's web, harlequin, cannatonic, or any strain for that matter. Could we separate these cannabanoids efficiently? Thanks

CBD-enhanced cannabis
Decades ago, selective breeding by growers in US dramatically lowered the CBD content of cannabis; their customers preferred varietals that were more mind-altering due to a higher THC, lower CBD content.[26] To meet the demands of medical cannabis patients, growers are currently developing more CBD-rich strains.[27]

In November 2012, an Israeli medical cannabis facility announced a new strain of the plant which has only cannabidiol as an active ingredient, and virtually no THC, providing some of the medicinal benefits of cannabis without the euphoria.[28][29] The researchers said the cannabis plant, enriched with CBD, "can be used for treating diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, colitis, liver inflammation, heart disease and diabetes". Research on CBD enhanced cannabis began in 2009, resulting in Avidekel, a cannabis strain that contains 15.8% CBD and less than 1% THC. Raphael Mechoulam, a cannabinoid researcher, said "...Avidekel is thought to be the first CBD-enriched cannabis plant with no THC to have been developed in Israel".[30]

If your looking for relief w out the high, then perhaps one should be looking towards extracting the acid form in tacked, and keeping them there perhaps in an elixir for oral consumption where ethanol has been used as co-solvented extract. Now by not decarboxylating, the oil goes right through the liver and passes w out being metabolized into a hydroxy11. Almost like eating bunk oil, but not as the benefits from eating them are evident, just w out the high. It's savvy operator control and concise aware and knowing theres solutions for all kinds of people who have special needs. Since a greater depth of understanding exactly what we work w is required, it needs people to be on their toes if they want to play medical practitioner.

you should be investigating cannabinol derivatives as people suffering from wasting syndrome have found these purified versions a god send. If you not know about optical rotations, mass spectrometers, and how bonds and double bonds work its going to do you no good. If you understand that shit and have formal education, then its right up your alley.

CBD is most likely the anti inflammatory agent in mmj. It doesn't get you high, but has synergistic effects when in combination w terms, flavanoids, and other cannabinoids. It does not get you higher, its more medicating.
